Wow Theresa and Racheal59....shut down, depressed, feeling "dead", distracted.....I thought I was the only one feeling like that lately. I'm finding it extremely hard to care about anything anymore except the return of Jesus. I have a genetic predispostion to depression so that may be a good part of it....but the distracted 'not here' feeling is extreme...I nearly walked out of the grocery store without paying three times in the last couple of weeks. I can be absent minded :hehee but that was ridiculous.
And when I talk to my Christian friends and they have no clue about what is going on in the world because they are not watchers and so they either laugh at me or criticize me for "putting my life on hold", it makes me want to avoid everyone and hole up in my little apartment with RR and really put my life on hold.
I did just order a couple hundred gospel tracts though, the ones with beer on the front - I live next door to a bar so I have plenty of opportunity to plant them. That's easy enough to do.

Rapture Ready: sucking people's souls since....
I am sure your god is thrilled to see how you are wasting the life he has given you.
Personally, I think it is frighteningly sad.
Hey, first the rapture is an excuse to sit in your tailer and not get a job, now it is an excuse for getting caught shoplifting...
Is there ANYTHING RR can't do?

"it makes me want to avoid everyone and hole up in my little apartment with RR and really put my life on hold. "
Mental illness at RR, imagine that!
If even other christians are criticizing you, don't you think...
Oh wait. Of course you don't think.
The Death Cult thinks for you.
Seriously, seek medical attention immediately.
There's an old Simulationist saying I'd like to share with you:
"The thread that stops execution to wait for an event is wise to instead set up a hardware interrupt that will allow it to keep running until that event actually happens, at which point it will quickly switch to a handler subroutine, then return to regular execution"
I remember when I was 10 my grandparents told me about the Rapture and how Jesus was coming "any day now." I didn't want it to happen because I was afraid I wouldn't get to see Return of the Jedi.
Even though Jedi was just so-so, thank goodness for small favors.

Sheesh. And Shatner told Trekkies to "Get a life!"
HEATHEN!
Those weren't Trekkies, they were Trekker s! The difference is that Trekkies are just ... aw, what's the use in explaining it to a Mundane who probably can't even quote the TOS warp speed formula from memory?!
"they have no clue about what is going on in the world because they are not watchers "
That's because all the watchers are overwhelmed by the large number of new slayers. They have better things to do than hang out with you.
If I catch you putting one of those fucking things on my car, depression will most definatley be the last thing you'll have to worry about. Then again, persecution is just gravy for the goose isn't it?
I did just order a couple hundred gospel tracts though, the ones with beer on the front - I live next door to a bar so I have plenty of opportunity to plant them. That's easy enough to do.
Has it ever occurred to you that people go to bars to escape religous idiots like you?
What's a good christian doing in a bar with "plenty of opportunity" anyway?
For an outsider, I think that this guy in concrete has inadvertely given us a clue why people join rapture ready. They're people who tend to depression and who try to justify it and make it look more acceptable by being religious. For them, the rapture is real not because it's likely to happen but because it's a kind of therapy.
1.) Faith without action is dead.
2.) Get some professional help.
Do you remember that verse in the Bible in which Jesus states that "only the Father knows the time" of the end of the world (or your death)? Yeah, that was supposed to teach you not to worry about it, not to look for it, not to plan for it. Instead, you're supposed to live each day as you would normally.
Quotes like this are simply too sad for me to mock.
I'd take Neen out to the nearest bar, or at least to an ice cream place.
...Well, ice cream cheers everyone up. If it doesn't work, then I'll recommend a good psychiatric professional.
I think this is the beginning of the end for this suicide cult.
[note, I want everyone to know, that if they do all kill themselves, I fucking called it =P]
Actually, you might try going into the bar and sitting down to have a drink with some of your neighbors. You might actually enjoy it and have a good time getting to know them.
WTF am I saying. Fundies aren't allowed to have fun.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
