“That's just it, atheists want 100% physical proof that God exists.”
Well, that’s just it.
‘Proof’ is kinda binary. Either it establishes a fact or it does not. That’s why it’s limited to maths.
‘Evidence,’ that’s cumulative. A lot of evidence that corroborates each other bit is what supports most theories.
“Well, you can see it in nature, you can see it in the human body because there is no way the intelligent design of life can be seen any other way than God,”
Which one, though?
I mean, even if ‘argument from complexity’ wasn’t totally bogus, how do you distinguish between any of the many creator gods that man has offered over the years and across the globe?
"you simply just don't buy it.”
No, not ‘simply.’ We’ve asked for evidence, you give presuppositions.
“ That proof simply is not good enough for you.”
Because it’s not proof.
“If Christ walked up, tapped you on the shoulder and told you He was Christ, you still wouldn't believe it, correct?”
No one in the bible believed it until he did miracles.
AND his very disciples didn’t believe it EVERY TIME.
Read it. Jesus says, “Imma blow your minds.”
And they’re, “No way.”
He’s, “Way.”
And they’re, “No WAY!”
Then he blows their minds. And they’re impressed.
Until the next time he says ’I’mma blow your minds.”
“No WAY! Jesus!”
SO why would i accept it just because he says?
"Because you would not think it was Him.”
Not until he did some miracles in conditions i could really scrutinize. I mean, to distinguish him from a street magician, right?
“There are tons more ways to talk to unsaved people without having to prove logic.”
But if we’re saying your argument fails logical analysis, you’re going to have to either show us the logic, or assume we’re all just cynics and leave.
“Believers know that beyond the physical world and what is around us that it is difficult to prove God,”
Jesus apparently did it a number of times. Raise the dead, heal the sick, restore the wounded, drive swine over a cliff, water into wine, etc. What’s stopping you? Jesus said you could drink poison and suffer no harm. What’s your proffered toxic tipple? When should we be there?
"we base most of what we believe on faith because things just don't add up otherwise.”
THey don’t ‘add up’ because you’re already convinced that your answer is the only acceptable one. Any logical chain that doesn’t lead to your conclusion, you reject out of hand. Not by finding a flaw in the logic, just the end.
