Have you ever read a science book from 1900? It reads like a JOKE BOOK. Did you know that almost ALL of Albert Einstein's THEORIES have now been PROVEN false...or at least untrustworthy some of the time? Look this is a FREE COUNTRY. What is it about that word (FREEDOM) that LIBERALS HATE? A kid should be taught to DISCERNMENT. That is what he REALLY needs in his life. It hurts NOTHING for them to be introduced to what the book that has changed this planet more than any book in history has to say about origins. It is a CRIME not to.

Yes, how about that. That's what happens when you do science; the old stuff is either validated, tossed out completely or corrected.

I'd still take a science book from 1900 over the Bible any day. It's a hell of a lot more accurate in what it claims.

And you should be taught basic English. Your sentence should be "to discern" or, if you insist on "discernment" then you'll have to drop the "to".

Maybe you should hit a few remedial science classes too.

That is called progress. We here in the real world tries to make things better than the latest version. It doesn't necessary mean that there was anything wrong with the old version, just that the new one is an improvement on it.

What is it about that language (English, and in extension Latin) that you hate? Liberalism is intimitely connected with freedom, especially the individual's freedom from regulations from the state.

Discernment is not a verb, you can't discernment something. On the other hand you can discern, and of course children should be taught how to discern real things from fiction. (By the way, you forgot to mention what the kid should discern from what.)

And here we go again, it wouldn't hurt you at all to be introduced to a grammar book.

Nothing in your book has been possible to discern from fiction, except for the fact that most of the places mentioned does, or did, exist.

Be sure the kid starts with the old testament, and clearly understands all of the morality therein, especially how god says unruly children should be stoned to death, how they should kill anyone working on the sabbath, how if they call people names they and 40+ of their friends will get mauled to death by she-bears, and how god killed large numbers of men, women, and children, on not just one but many occasions, but if they bow down and worship him, they won't be tortured in hell forever. And then when they die they will be allowed to grovel at his feet forever while enjoying the sights and sounds of those unfortunate ones being tortured in hell. Doesn't that sound nice?

It is, unlike the buybull, self-correcting, however. As we learn more, the science gets more precise, and (gasp) sometimes changes. Science at a given time is the best we know of at that time, so looking at a book from 113 years ago I would be surprised if you DIDN'T find a lot of changes. Science knows it doesn't know everything, otherwise it'd stop. And just because it has been wrong before, and doesn't know everything, it doesn't mean you can insert any kind of made-up shite you want in its place. You don't get to say, "see, science doesn't have an answer for abc, therefore, the only possible answer is "goddidit"".

Much more importantly, they should be taught English.

Well, at grade school age, the more we learn, the better our brain will be able to learn later in life. He/she should be taught SOMETHING, and science can really come in handy. Like if they end up working on the next generation of GPS, huh?
