If I were an atheist...
I'd live a life of debauchery and then commit suicide.

If I were an Atheist...
Ya ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dum.
All day long I'd biddy biddy bum.
If I were a godless man.
I wouldn't have to pray hard...
Ya ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dum.
If I were a biddy religious,
Yidle-diddle-didle-didle man.
Well, that's obviously a personal deficiency on YOUR part, Orthodox_Freethinker, as there are many atheists who do no such thing.
Aristotle once said that it is best to follow the law because it is right than because it is a law. This fundie is obviously the kind of person who is kept in line out of fear of going to hell (maybe it's a good thing to have such organized religions; it keeps the idiots from getting into trouble at society's expense!).
If I were a Christian I'd be good souly because I'm afraid of going to hell- not because I'm actually good.
And because of that, I would probably be going to hell because I would not actually be good, but merely act it.
Well, maybe I'll live according to the morals dictated by my society - just like christians do, except you toss a few easy-to-live-by morals so you can feel pious.
Really, just how hard is it to not-be-gay when you aren't gay. What a sacrifice! How about that part where you are supposed to sell all your shit and give all that money to the poor? Guess that doesn't apply to you because....why? And how about all the other biblical dictates modern christians don't follow?
SO, you're basically living the same "life of debauchery" that atheists are.
If I were a thiest, I'd follow the rules of my personal diety *to the letter*. If this killed me, so be it, because (as a thiest) I'd believe that the rules of the diety were more important than my own life.
So, as a Christian, I'd be required to marry the girl I raped (so long as she wasn't married or spoken for already), I could have multiple wives, I'd be required to convert people or kill them, I would sell my daughters into slavery, I could own the slaves of my dead enemies...
Then he's not really a good person, he's just following some religious rules because he's afraid of Hell. If this idiot fundie's life didn't depend so much on religion, maybe he would have developed a real sense of morality.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
