I remember, back when I was a wee little girl-who-thought-she-was-a-boy, I decided that if there was a god, he wasn't a fair-haired white man who had personality disorders. I think he may be a woman, since his spontaneous "lets kill shit" moods seem to be consistent with PMS.

Whenever I feel tempted to rethink this decision, I remember all the "women should submit" comments, the YEC's, and the priest who was excommunicated for daring to suggest that women could be priests too.
Then the god they are worshipping is certainly not the God of Abraham, who, according to the Talmud, has both masculine and feminine aspects. The Shekhinah is the word used for the feminine aspect.
