Picture one: destruction of a statue of a Klan member. Sure, I think the people you're decrying would want to take down statues of the KKK.
Picture two: destruction of a statue of Abe Lincoln. Quite how you think people wanting to remove confederate statues means they'll also want to remove the statues of heroes of their own historical side is a little bit beyond me. Surely a hatred of confederate heroes would mean that a statue of Abe would be the last kind of statue they'd want taken down?
Plus, in the text portion you seem to think that this image represents the destruction of a statue of a founding father. Do you think Abe Lincoln was a founding father? I'm British, and even I know that's not accurate.
Picture three: destruction of the American constitution and a crucifix. Again, not quite sure how you think a distaste for the confederacy leads directly to a hatred of America in general, and Christianity. Seems like you're just conflating things you hold dear and assuming the destruction of one is an attack on all of them. I'm gay and I like ice cream, doesn't mean I think homophobes are lactose intolerant.
We're back to the slippery slope arguments.
To me this is evidence they don't have a good defense for statues that celebrate confederate figures so their doing the "If we allow this these unlikely things are certain to happen" scare tactics.
By the way "Torch and pitchforks crowds" are always Christian mobs and coincidentally also the only people actively trying to destroy the Constitution.
Confused?
