Dinosaur bones are the remains of animals that were created by God for use by earthbound demons, Satan included. In successive destructions over billions of years, usually by great flooding, God destroyed them.
Science misinterprets these incarnations of punishment, calling them evolution.
God still allows demons to influence animal behavior, as is evident by the horrible, bloody carnage taking place in all levels of the animal world.
Thus God hisself buried dem bones.

Um, what? You just pulled that straight out of your arse, yes?
(Supposing all fossils to be deomic, can you inagine the ammonite demons? Scary. Not.)
I'm sorry, what? Seems to me oldwiseguy isn't so wise. Not only is his science mind-numbingly idiotic, but his theology makes even less sense. Why would an all-knowing, all-loving God tolerate demons (which he undoubtedly knew would corrupt his creation), let alone create animals for the demons to use? Oh, yeah... what's up with the sudden change from English to crazy old hermit?
Coming soon on The Discovery Channel, "Walking With Demonsaurs."
Besides the obvious insanity of this whole concept, what's funny is the way it and so many other fundie ideas wildly contradict each other. There was a post within the last couple of months by a guy who claimed that the "asteroid" that killed off the dinosaurs was actually Satan being flung down from heaven (and tilting the Earth's axis in the process as well) that wouldn't fit too well with oldwiseguy's opinion, would it? And neither one fits either orthodox theology or scientific facts (or logic).

I can't help but think of Bill Hicks' routine about a Prankster God burying dinosaur bones to test people's faith, then asking them when they died & got to the gates of heaven whether they believed the bones were real. Those who did, of course, being cast down into the lake of fire: "But it seemed so plausible! AAAAAAAAHHHHH!!"
OK, granted it's funnier when Bill Hicks does it.
When hearing stuff like this, I always wonder if people like oldcrazyguy actually have some weird rationalisation for their beliefs, and what that looks like. I mean even beliefs like this have to be based on something. If only revelation or a buybll quote? Or is just making sh*t up enough to justify itself?
Ummm....if demons are still influencing animal behavior, I guess god's floods (there was more than one??) didn't work. With that batting average, god should just quit messing with the earth and go home.

"OK, granted it's funnier when Bill Hicks does it."
Much like "No Cure For Cancer". Only Bill Hicks called it his "Flying Saucer Tour".
But, to be fair, what wasn't funnier when Bill Hicks said it?
As for oldwiseguy's post, well, to quote Invader Zim: This is stupid! This is STUPID stupid!
More wisdom from oldwiseguy:
"The bones scenario is perfectly logical when viewed from a whole bible perspective. I believe that almost every single bible verse requires understanding of the rest of the bible to understand. I really enjoy my own sense of humor, but trust me I am serious about what I post here. God allows us to fill in the blanks, as the bible is the greatest example of 'time compression' and 'understatement' of all the worlds literature. In fact I cannot understand the bible fully without doing thus. For example, how did Lucifer know he was 'beautiful', if he had no features. God assured him that he was, and enjoyed the beauty that he had created, and only He could 'see'. But Lucifer wanted to enjoy his own beauty as well, and requested a way to do so. The way God granted this request was the beginning of the material creation. Of course Lucifer would require many acoutraments to fulfill his request. If you can see where this can go you will be well on the way to understanding the whole mystery of God. I know what it is and I play with it. I do this because no one is going to believe it anyway."

I suppose he's refering to "meat-eating" animals... eating... other animals...
And what about the horrible, bloody carnage taking place in all levels of the HUMAN world? Which, on the American front, is being led by a CHRISTIAN President and his neo-con religious administration?
Confused?
