Other stupidity aside, what does stupidsort have against zookeepers to think they're total morons? Even if humans and chimps looked nearly identical to the eye, zookeepers would be able to differentiate at a glance, because that's their job. Imagine the world of rampant incompetence stupidsort seems to live in:
"Any idiot can see there's a vast difference between a cello and a double bass...if they didn't, musicians would occasionally get confused and play the wrong instruments."
"Any idiot can see there's a vast difference between oak and pine...if they didn't, carpenters would occasionally get confused and build flimsy furniture."
"Any idiot can see there's a vast difference between a spleen and an appendix...if they didn't, surgeons would occasionally get confused and remove the wrong organ."
"Any idiot can see there's a vast difference between a diode and an anode...if they didn't, electrical engineers would occasionally get confused and destroy entire circuitboards."
"Any idiot can see there's a vast difference between a sifaka and a lemur...if they didn't, zookeepers would occasionally get confused and put animals in the wrong cages."
Yeah, we absolutely expect professionals to know what they're doing and know the difference between things that, to a layperson and at first glance, seem pretty much the same. So even if any idiot couldn't see, I would not expect professionals in the area to start making elementary mistakes all over the place.
PS In Australia, we don't have cages at our zoos anyway. We have realistic enclosures. It might be geographical - Australia does like to think of itself as a world leader in combining the entertainment venue of the zoo with the conservationist institution of the wildlife shelter - but I thought you'd at least be past the point of actual cages.
If it's just that stupidsort doesn't know any words as big as enclosure, and cage could be used for anything, I apologise.
