I've heard that a lot from people, but never from anyone well accquainted with the facts.
Scientology is worse on critics than Christianity, makes less sense, has no followers who are not fundies (they have to take everything literally), is more obsessed with money and is much more controlling of its members than Christianity.
While we're all tried of the "not a true christian" response we get to Christians doing bad acts in the name of their religion, there is at least an argument to make there. When scientologists do bad things in the name of their religion, they are always following orders of those higher up in the church.
While Christians have committed crimes far worse than the scientolgists, these crimes are in the past and christianity has little enough desire to return to, say, the salem witch trials.
Scientologists have the worse record in the recent past- in the last 50 years they carried out the largest infiltration of the IRS in history (called operation snow white), and used their abhorrent fair game policy to harrass many critics, notably Paulette Cooper who they tried to frame for making bomb threats (operation Freakout).
Please do some research -give even a source like wikipedia a glance- before you decide that scientology is a bigger threat than christianity. It is not.
