Haven't heard the song you're referring to in the OP - but i can only imagine, we just recently had to go thru my 14 y.o.'s music again and re-iterate to him that some of his secular stuff had to go.. He hemmed and hawed for a minute or so, and then agreed... It took him a month or so though until he was really okay with why i nixed those songs. Had to get right with God in his heart..

These teens have such huge attacks that go at them i am finding.. Those hormones and puberty make it difficult for them i believe and the enemy tries to get them off the path and into the world, they must fight to stay grounded with God.. No excuses, but man am i glad NOT to be young like that again!!

You mean he finally found a successful way of suppressing his contempt for you personally and his resentment of your micromanaging of his life. Don't worry; all those buried emotions will eventually surface in a Vesuvian display right about the time he goes away to college. Yes, this is always the danger with these kids nowadays. Instead of staying outside of the world and praying day and night for the rapture to come and take them to heaven, they too often believe that they´re *gasp* part of this world.
Some might even listen to evil worldly music that doesn´t glorify god or *omg* begin to believe in the theory of evolution
Good if they have parents like MochaMel to set their mind right again and lead them back to the glorious flock of Rapturists ;)

When my siblings and I were young, our dad was into Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, Bob Dylan, etc. He merely thought that our music was boring and wanted to expand our interest in music.

I bet your son has just learned to hide his real music from you, and hasn't "got right with God in his heart" one bit. You have pushed him away from you, and he will hide parts of himself from you, as he knows that you won't accept him for who he is, only for how religious he shows himself to be. Sad, very sad!

Those hormones and puberty are all natural parts of growing up; blame that God of yours for them.
