I thought we weren't supposed to be able to speak to one another after the Tower of Babel. I guess God missed one. Oops.
And no it isn't pronounced the same in every language since not every language has those phonemes, dumb asses.
Language's common source is in the way our vocal apparatus works. That kind of limits what sound we can make, so it's possible to find words in different languages that sound similar. What you're saying is a huge leap over that (and it needs citation, btw).

ETA: It's AMN , often transliterated as "AMUN". (AMEN and AMON are common spellings as well, as the Kemetic language didn't have written vowels as we know them.)
"Hallelujah" only means "praise god" in Hebrew. In other languages, it means "yay".
It's also pronounced differently in different parts of the world.

Wow. So does "amen"! Actually, the most universal word in all of human language is said to be "OK":
"And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was OK."

From a linguist, it's because is a hebrew loanword, only used by Christians and Jews of different nationalities. Before I explain to you what it means, try to learn other languages rather than English.

A lot of the world has no idea what that means and, because of accents, it's certainly not pronounced the same everywhere.

Does a barking dog from Russia understand another one from, say, the U.S.? Do "woof" and "bow-wow" sound and mean the same to them? In fact, I'll bet all animals in the world can communicate with each other at their level of understanding, no Babel Tower for them. And they're probably a bunch of atheists, too.

In Japan, dogs go 'Wan-wan!'. As cats there go 'Nya!'. But for some strange reason, as far as Japanese people are concerned, rabbits go 'Pyon'. 0_o ?
