Um, I was in the military for 20 years. The vast majority of men don’t WANT to go into combat. Combat sucks. You could get HURT in combat!
However, the military promotion system is designed to reward combat positions. In order to compete, women who want a career have to go into combat positions.

I really doubt that you’ve actually performed a survey of the vast majority of military women, or have access to one.
But I do remember Desert Storm. A whole bunch of men were quite upset to find out they were being deployed to a war zone. THey joined up for the education, not combat. Still, that’s a risk you take being in the military.

Soldiers don’t collect draft dodgers, the cops do.
And we don’t have a draft right now, they won’t drag her off to war without a few interim steps.
