The fact that women have been gaining rights over the decades means that men have been losing rights. Women must have way more rights by now!
Okay, so what exactly have you lost? Umm... the right to control or abuse women in certain ways? The right to not have to compete so hard for certain jobs? The right to treat children as personal property rather than immature people? Whoop de friggin' doo, most men never cared much for those rights, and those who did were largely considered scum or religious whackjobs by mainstream society.

How about instead of a patriarchy or a matriarchy, why not egalitarianism?
Ah, Meninist, one of those words that makes you cringe simply for existing, like ... er well I can't think of any other words under the "pointless and annoying" category at the moment, barring the much less egregious example of "pick six", but I know there are at least half a dozen other words that piss me off just as much.
