I don't like their message, but Canada needs to ease up on the speech restrictions: the statements made by Stockwell Day, coupled with the way Red Deer authorities refused to tell WBC members whether or not the picket signs constituted a violation of local law - these things go against the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

No, it's not just Canadians. EVERYBODY who rides the Greyhound is insane (including my temporary leave of sanity that caused me to think riding the Greyhound was an acceptable means of transport; fortunately, I have learned, and now ride the airplane or stay where I am).
I have lots of anecdotal evidence. Like the guy who took a dump on a chair, or the woman having a passionate and wildly animated conversation with herself in Spanish.

I have such mixed feelings on this website. I think they've taken this too far not to be real, but when I read their stuff at least 3/4 of the time I laugh, because somewhere deep down I still find it hard to believe that there are people in the world who are this nuts. They were supposed to demonstrate at the McLean funeral, but most of them were turned back at the border. The ones who presumably made it in never showed up, probably due to the large police presence at the church and a several-hundred-strong "human shield" lining the sidewalks.

This is true. I spent two weeks in Canada and during that time I was eaten and decapitated at least three times, maybe more. I think they should at least be made to put that stuff in the travel guides. Oh wait ... best idea ever, the Fred Phelps travel guide. As a woman, I would have a hard time peeing on his grave in any sort of dignified manner, but I'd love to go to his funeral in a red dress--and carrying a picket sign, reading something charming like "Fred Phelps in Hell!"
On the bright side, I think this is the first time I've ever seen a statement of any kind from the Westboro Baptist Church that didn't contain some kind of derogatory name for homosexuals. Not that this makes them any less repulsive, but at least their vocabulary's growing</snide>.
