It especially saddens me how many Christians think that Harry Potter, Halloween, etc are just "fun and games." They say things like "well, we don't look at it that way, we just do it for fun...we aren't thinking about Satan when we do it, so it's OK. We think that you can participate in these things in ways that still honor God. You are just being legalistic by trying to tell us differently. There's no way that God is upset by this..." etc, etc, etc.
