And I am betting those kids were more frightened of those psychotic tracts than they were at any of the costumes. How many pissed off parents came knocking on your door with their two by four trick for you?
As for the tracts I am sure they could be used as toilet paper.
Yeah, and when I'd get those on Halloween, I never felt right depriving the givers of toilet paper, either. My brother and I got real good at rolling houses.
My best friend is also Pagan. Her 7-year-old daughter has gotten some of these treats. She first read a Chick tract two Halloweens ago, and of course, a discussion ensued with her mother. Last year, to the amusement of the adults taking her out trick-or-treating, she refused one: "Sorry, I don't want one of those little comic books. They aren't funny, and did you know they tell lies? But thank you for the candy, ma'am."

Apparently the other kids were amazed and said things like, "You can *do* that? Just say no?" We adults who remembered those "treats" did, too! But I don't regret rolling houses instead.

I remember reading a few chick tracks as a kid. They always bothered the fuck out of me for some reason. Now I know why.

Ahh I sure remember my first Chick Tract and they certainly do leave an impression on children.
I remember how the tract presented a malicious, callous and jealous God more interested in having his ass kissed. And if fundies believed this crap, what other crazy ideas did they have?
after that I began to stop giving fundies the benefit of the doubt and seriously look at what they were saying.
