The sun isn't big enough to go nova, much less supernova. And that only happens at the end of a star's "life"; at best estimate, we've got a few more billion years before we have to worry about that.

Man is an intelligent animal.
In about 2 billion years, our sun will turn into a red giant and swallow up Earth and all the other planets. It's still pretty far from supernova, though.
Swede, you're off by about 4 billion years, and it's not going to take out all of them, just the innermost ones, but yeah. Your other points are all valid.
