Well, it's not used for atheism.
Sure, it's used for eugenics and racism, but only by people who have an agenda of eugenics or racism in the first place, before evolution is added.
People use god for eugenics and racism too. I'm reminded of this rather small group in the 20th century called the NAZI PARTY!
Just about anything can be used for both good and evil. That includes evolution, and relgion. Only difference is that religion's been doing it alot longer, and alot worse.
Wrong on all three counts. Evolutionary theory is, however, used for the development of medicines and vaccines, machine design optimisation and adaptive data searching algorithms.
and the bible is used for elitism, slavery, sexism, homophobia, religious intolerance, and fundieism.... whats your point?
Nope, because, among other things, many people who favoured eugenics in the past did it in the name of the "Christian country" and racism is always invoked in the name of God, that supposedly made the races in different continents and cursed Ham. Moreover, atheism appeared like 20 years, at least, before Darwin(Marx and his communist manifesto ring you a bell?). Evolution is a scientific theory which says what things are like, not how they should be. It's like saying that the theory of gravity makes people more suicidal.

Atheism has been around for as long as there have been gods for people to be duped into believing.
“Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?”
Epicurus - Greek philosopher, BCE 341-270
