[A strange form of the "something can't come from nothing" one-liner]
i really cant understand how something suddenly popped out of nowhere. Space is defined because there is space. Say there was space and nothing in space. No molecules or anything. But then you suddenly popped into it i thing many of you would agree that you would infact be floating around. How the freg could someone float in space if there was nothing? You can put spomething in space and it floats! how is that possible if there was once nothing?

"Space is defined because there is space." No, that's not the definition of space. On a very simplistic level, space isn't simple the absence of mater, it's the space where matter could exist. The Big Bang was not only the sudden expansion of creation/expansion of all matter, but also of space/time. Before the Big Bang there was no space to "float" in, and no someone to be floating.
I think it is worth to quote the whole post, even though it is quite long, because it is really a fundie gem. OK, samsonknight is only 16 years old, but I'm sure most 16 year-olders can think -and spell!- better than him:
"i heard in a scientific book which made some very inteeligent points. It was written by a scientist who put his information together.
However at the beggining of the bpook it said "the most likely reason how the universe came to be was quite phenomanol. Since when scientists look into the skys with the most powerful microscopes which they see the early universe. It is much smaller, therefore this strongly suggests that the universe many billlions of years ago was infact more compact than it is today. More research shows that planets and stars were so unbelivably compact and created such a strong gravitational pull that the universe began smaller than an atom. However some theories also suggest that the universe began with 2 particles smaller than molecules."
this sounds quite intresting and intelligent. Using intelligent words doesnt actually prove anything and going around things like these scientists did, is an intelligent way for them to get their point to others. however, what happpens if they said. "The universe began when these 2 particles smaller than molecules suddenly popped out of nowhere. We really dont know how they appeared and we wish we did. But sadly i doubt we will ever know since i really dont know how these molecules just popped out of nothingness. well to be honest, these were complete theories to begin with that we have not actually seen these 2 molecules. But perhaps if we spend all the world fundings to be the ultimate telescope we might be able to. And see that they just popped out of nothing."
really, you cant exacly disprove creatism. Sometimes i hear things that make evolution and how the earth began sound very, very complicated. But infact creatism is even more complex since god has infinite power. that by one simple statement you could never get your head round! i really cant understand how something suddenly popped out of nowhere. I know not all sixteen-year-olds are this dense because my son is just about sixteen, and he has a much better grasp of astrophysics than samsonknight (so does his fourteen-year-old sister for that matter).
Then again, they went to good schools and my wife and I helped them with their homework when they needed it.
Oh, and we didn't feed them a steady diet of Buy-bull stories.
You know, quantum physics is an absolute bitch to understand, but the easiest way to put it is that it's pretty much impossible to have nothing. That's why we can never reach absolute zero. Beyond that is "we're still working on it".

LOL!
@ Lilith: "Is that any different to claiming God created the universe out of nothing? i.e. "'something suddenly popped out of nowhere'"
But, he already answered this question:
But infact creatism is even more complex since god has infinite power. that by one simple statement you could never get your head round!
Confused?
