So adaption means evolution. If we as humans lived in the water long enough we would grow gills to adapt. Or those living in high rise buildings would grow wings.

"If we as humans lived in the water long enough we wold grow gills to adapt".
Finally, something true out of a fundie! I never thought the day would come.
"Or those living in high rise buildings would grow wings".
I knew it was too good to last.
"If we as humans lived in the water long enough we would grow gills to adapt."
There are other marine adaptations than gills, you moron.
"Or those living in high rise buildings would grow wings."
Yes, all animals living in high altitudes grow wings.
If, 'we as humans' means as a species, then yes, no doubt*. If 'we as humans' means as individuals, then not so much.
*Assuming there were survival pressures around the lack of those things. If we had things like, oh, say, aqualungs and staircases, it mightn't be as pressing.
If we as humans lived in the water long enough we would grow gills to adapt.
Close, but no cigar.
We would adapt to aquatic life, one way or the other. Thats exactly how whales evolved: Some cow-like animals returned to the water a long time ago, slowly re-adapting to life in water by the evolutionary mechanism.
While those living on the ground floor would lose the ability to climb steps or push elevator buttons.
Such a pity. Your first sentence was so full of promise - but then your post starting doing a very good Titanic imitation.
“So adaption means evolution.”
That depends on the adaptation. Three people on one of my boats had the same initials I do, so i just used the consonants in my last name and adapted to using LLL in place of KBL. Not evolution.
Taller antelope species becoming giraffes is evolution.
“If we as humans lived in the water long enough we would grow gills to adapt.”
Exactly! Just like Whales, hippos, otters, dolphins, seals, beavers… All adapted to a marine environment with gillification.
“Or those living in high rise buildings would grow wings.”
Um… Why? What would drive us to grow wings just from altitude?
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
