“If I had my way,”
What a scary scenario…
“ I'd ban large cities in America. The largest city couldn't be any larger than 100,000 citizens. I would strongly enforce that number, with no exceptions.”
Uh huh. I was in Jacksonville when they extended the city limits to the edge of the county so they could claim to be the ‘fastest growing city in the South’… For one year.
Every time a census came out to show one of Pillowfucker’s cities as over the limit, they’d just draw a dotted line down Main Street. “Now,the population of EAST Podunk is 50,000, and the population of WEST Podunk is 52,000.”
"It would eliminate half of America's problems overnight.”
I think you’re the last person i’d want to identify the problems a city has.
“Long traffic rides to and from work would be gone.”
We could also invest rather heavily in mass transit, for the same benefit.
“ And if I needed to, I'd limit the biggest cities down to 50,000 citizens.”
Get the paint, we’re NORTH East Podunk, now…
“ A small city is a functional city, a happy city and the homeless are cared for.”
We still have homeless in the city I’m currently in and we’re a bedroom community for tourist traps.
“I could write a very big book, about the problems caused by building big cities. The commonsense answer is to think the herd!”
This isn’t thinning the herd, Davey. This is just going to pave even more ground needlessly.
