Hi all. I am really feeling a since of urgency in my soul . I have studied prophecy for many years, and the burden on my spirit is something that I just can't shake. Events are happening so fast in the world and in our country that it is hard to keep up with them. I am constantly fighting off extreme feelings of anger as I watch evil men and women being given more and more control of my country. The persecution of our brothers and sisters in other countries is something that is keeping me up at night, as America could care less, and our leaders in fact I think are endorsing it. I pray that the rapture comes quickly as I do not want to have my faith tested like so many of our martyred brothers and sisters around the world. I find myself relishing the thought of judgement on these evil men and women, when I know that I should be praying for them instead. We are not battling against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers in high places. The devil has divided this nation, and a house divided cannot stand. I pray for the Holy Spirit to bring calm to my soul, and give me strength.

Drama queen. The world is just as rotten as it has been for millenia, including all the time christians were at the helm. As a matter of fact, countries are generally a bit more tolerable when the religious do not have any noticeable influence.
I pray that the rapture comes quickly as I do not want to have my faith tested like so many of our martyred brothers and sisters around the world.
So you want billions to die so that your faith isn't tested. Not much of a faith, is it? I wonder what Jesus would think.
You've decided that those who don't suffer your fantastical delusions are predominately evil. You've decided to adopt dramatic airs and graces as a way of expressing your disdain for others. Your natural anxieties and insecurities have been voraciously fed by the dramatic sense of your own self-importance and the part that you'll play on destiny's great stage, so that now those self-same anxieties start to devour you.
You tribe takes solace in the notion that they are serving a greater good, you and they have now completed the first stage of group zombie delusionism. Looks like now the only way is up. Let's hope you can sprout those metaphoric wings or ignite those anal jets (with, hopefully, the nozzles facing the right way) before you give up the ghost and they lay you down to rest.

I have studies warp drive for many years and I am very frustrated that NASA won't build the Enterprise and boldy go were no one has gone before.
This is your brain on fundy Christianity. Seriously, it must really suck to go through life like this.
The persecution of our brothers and sisters in other countries is something that is keeping me up at night
Why? Have you not realized that it's your very own god who is allowing this to happen? Or is that why you can't sleep, because you realize you're worshiping a monster?

Don't worry, Christians are still more likely to get voted in than Pagans or atheists.

You're not persecuted. Not in America anyway.

Don't worry, the Tea Party's days are numbered. They burned too fast (faster than their previous incarnation, the "moral majority") to have any lasting impact. Soon the country will be returned to the hands of people that actually give a damn (like Corey Booker and Elizabeth Warren).

This is actually not wrong. While we sit comfortably, people across the world are being abused and killed.

You don't need your faith tested, I can tell you just from these two lines that you're a terrible Christian. A good Christian is supposed to not only be tested but better like it too (Job ring a bell?) and reject the urge to judge (Jesus ring a bell?). Good news for you though: Christianity is most likely false. I'd still look into those revenge fantasies if I were you though. Relishing the thought of people burning for eternity is not only very unChristian, it's also very inhuman.
"The devil has divided this nation"
...yet the Democrats are united as never before.
Enjoy your schism - Moderates & mainstreamers in the Republican Party vs. the Religious Reich-ers/Teabaggers (and there's even a split between them ; Ruptured Retards themselves no longer consider anyone not True Christians exactly like them to be Conservatives) - Never UFlyFU.
The persecution of our brothers and sisters in other countries is something that is keeping me up at night, as America could care less, and our leaders in fact I think are endorsing it.
And yet when it was other groups being persecuted by your brothers and sisters, I find it hard to believe you were bothered at all...
Oh, and relishing the thought of Judgement? You mean you are relishing the thought of people being eternally tortured... and you dare to call THEM evil????
Yup, evil men and women have the power to shut down your whole government for 17 days, adding an additional 24 billion to your already substantial debt.
Our Muslim brothers and sisters are indeed persecuted in many countries, and (many in) America couldn't care less. (Pet peeve of mine; if you COULD care less, then you actually DO care, stupid!!!) No, the leaders that did endorse it were voted out some five years ago.
Your faith is so weak that you don't dare have it tested?
Yeah, because Jesus was all about gloating at other people's misery, wasn't he?
You're battling against principalities? Which ones? Liechtenstein? Monaco?
Yup, that devil called the GOP is trying its best to divide your nation, and is eager to conquer the wreckage that will remain.
Cue Sabina:
"Here it is the middle of August and the coldest day of the year. It’s simply freezing; the dogs are sticking to the sidewalks. Can anybody explain that? No. But I’m not surprised. The whole world’s at sixes and sevens, and why the house hasn’t fallen down about our ears long ago is a miracle to me." By the Skin of Our Teeth Thornton Wilder, 1942.
Relax. It's always been this way. You can't fix it either.
Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think.
Enjoy yourself, while you're still in the pink.
The years go by, as quickly as a wink.

If the Holy Spirit actually gave a crap about you and agreed with you, He'd do something about it. The fact that He doesn't tells you that either (a) He doesn't give a crap about you, (b) He doesn't exist or (c) He thinks you're wrong.
Pick one.
Maybe, just maybe, what happens in the United States is no more important than what happens in other nations. If all the tragedies and atrocities that have happened throughout the world since 33 a.D. haven't triggered God's intervention, why should the present situation? Do you honestly think that the USA, today, are a worse place than, say, anywhere before 1780?
Edit: @Amadan: the Rapture in 1987 comment actually made me think about something, for I was born one year later. So, I was wondering, surely (in case of a pre-tribulation rapture) children would be born between the rapture and the end of tribulation. Would they be condemned too? (Knowingly the Biblical god, probably yes)
Not that any of this actually matters, I'm just discussing fiction.

'Ooh baby, do you know what that's worth?'

'Ooh, Heaven is a place on Earth! ' >:D
...oh, and once, I was privileged to hear what had to be the ultimate Freudian Slip (certainly a Tautological one): when a radio DJ - after playing that very same tune - went on to say 'That was Belinda Heaven , and "Carlisle Is A Place On Earth ".' I was reduced to such a state, that I could harly breathe for laughing! X3
"I am really feeling a since [sic] of urgency in my soul."
Well, that can happen when lunch is kind of greasy. Next time, rather than hitting the knees, try Imodium.
@Anon-e-moose
lol!
re. Carlisle: That's as may be, but there's only one Henniker . I've been there, and Carlisle, MA. They're both very nice in a rural sort of way, but they're not Heaven. Belinda, on the other hand,... Well ... she did record with Virgin Records.... ;-)
"Events are happening so fast in the world and in our country that it is hard to keep up with them."
I know! It's almost like there are 317,014,999 people in this country who aren't you , and are all doing stuff !
"I pray for the Holy Spirit to bring calm to my soul, and give me strength."
So if the Holy Spirit doesn't bring calm to your sould and give you strength, does that mean he's ignoring you, doesn't want you to be calm and strong, or doesn't exist?
Confused?
