It's the only example in the english language where people leave out the most important part of the sentence-- the right to choose... the right to choose what? The right to choose evil, that's what. The right to choose murder for your child.

Freedom is not defined as the ability to do whatever you want, freedom is to do what you ought, or SHOULD. You never have the right to choose evil. LICENSE, is the ability to do whatever you want, LICENSE is what would enable you to kill a child in the womb, not freedom.

Um, I don't think you have any real authority to be claiming a particular political idealogy is a mental illness when you can't even spell it correctly.

Because, ya know, abortion will totally never happen if it's made illegal. And all those women who die from illegal abortions? Well, they just deserve it for being evil murdering sluts and not doing God's Will by realising they're merely walking wombs, right?

I feel sad about Terri Schiavo. The right to die with dignity was completely null and void. I can't even contemplate living like her. She lost nearly 3/4 of her useful brain.

Ironically the cure could have been in stem cell research another "ooh its wrong" part of fundies.

I support abortion until a certain trimester. Most people have early abortions since late abortions are extremely painful procedures. Abortion however should be provided after councelling and people should be informed about the procedure. I know people who went in expecting it to be like how the fundies say it is. Its not, its the most horrendous thing on earth.

And read about abortions in the Philippines to see a nation with anti abortion laws. It was the only time I was physically sick due to being grossed out when I visited at the pain the women are willing to go through because they cannot support another child.

Terri Schaivo, (not terribly unlike you) was already dead in the head. They were just putting the body to match.

Your ancestors and mine both came to this country seeking opportunity you now seek to deny others. How dare you shame them for something you take for granted.

Pro-choice people are not always liberals. Some are even Republicans.

Pro-choicers support the right of pregnant women to decide whether or not to carry a pregnancy further, regardless of the inclinations of others. They believe no one should be able to force her to have, or not to have, an abortion. This is only fair, considering, after all, no one else has the right to volunteer HER FUCKING BODY. We recognize, as a culture, that women have rights, and one of them is the right to bodily autonomy. Just as we insist that organ donation must be voluntary, pregnancy must be as well. Because no one can volunteer YOUR BODY, so the least you can do is offer the same freedom to others.

No, it's the right of a woman to choose whether or not she is capable, physically and mentally, of carrying the child to term autonomously. A child SHOULD be a choice...a blessing. Not a punishment for a night of carelessness.

Define evil, and then we'll talk. "Evil," for the most part, is a VERY arbitrary construct. For example, I find hatred of a person for arbitrary reasons (homosexuality, for example) to be evil.

License is permission, not ability. And in most cases, license is a restriction of freedom.

Ms. Schiavo was starved to death because the authorities would not allow the use of barbituates or other drugs in order to allow a quick and painless death. (Euthanasia literally means 'good death')

Oh, and what about Diane Pretty? She wanted to die, but they forced her to live in a decaying body. How is that an act of kindness?

And an extra 'you're a fundie idiot point' for missing the clue train. It's not a child, it's a foetus. By denying abortion rights to women you are treating them as a means to an end.

Kant (an ethical philosopher) said it is our duty to do the right thing, part of that is treating people as an end in themselves. So, by your own admission, you have chosen evil, or at least not to do what you should. You have abused your freedom.

Are you thne saying that it is not the freedom of speech? that its the licence of speech we should have?

so because you were granted to freedom, not licence, of speech. You in turn should not be allowed to say whatever you want. Is this then correct?

Because i think freedom of speech, freedom of press, freedom of Religion.. means i can say what i want print what i want and worship what it want.

a child has a heart, brain and blood.
so choosing to abort a "baby" before the brain and heart develop is not killing a life, the life never was created.

Basically, so you may understand this is not a "technical" example here.

If you have a period (women) and no baby is produced (ie your not pregnat) then you then killed a child.

If you masterbate (men) and ejaculate and thus no chuld is produced, you killed a baby.

Condoms..kill babys
birth control... kills babys

see where im going with this? if its not a living breathing production of a human, it is not a human child.

basically, im Pro-Choice. i think if a woman is raped, she shouldnt be forced to keep the result. im a married woman. i choose never to have kids. i choose birth control and condoms.. but sometimes, women dont have the luxury of condoms (rape) and dont want to live every day with the thought of the rape staring her in the face.
