Christians do not think science is useless, we just interpret the facts in a different yet completely rational way. God created things with the appearence of age. Please show me how the existance of a God is irrational.

Wait, so your all-powerful being created a whole universe full of lies with the intention of deceiving observers about the age of the universe, then when these distinctly not all-powerful observers are deceived, he condemns them for it and makes them burn for all eternity for his personal enjoyment?
Are you quite sure you're not supporting the wrong side here?
Also, if God created a universe that is a complete deceit, why believe a single word of the bible? What is the word of God worth once you admit that God tells lies?
Also, if the universe and everything in it was created with the appearance of age, then why could this not have happened a week ago, a day ago or a minute ago?
Last Thursdayism just interprets the facts in a different yet completely rational way. Everything in existence was created last thursday with the appearance of age, including peoples memories of 'former' events.
hayden, please show me how Last Thursdayism is irrational.
“Christians do not think science is useless, we just interpret the facts in a different yet completely rational way. God created things with the appearence of age.”
if an omnipotent being wants the Earth to appear to be 4 billion years old, then you’d have to be pretty fucking irrational to think of ANY OTHER AGE from the evidence.
I mean, if God framed me for a murder, i’d expect that everyone, including me, would be convinced by the evidence. One weirdo in the back of the courtroom saying, “NO! He’s INNOCENT! God FRAMED HIM!” with all the incontrovertibel evidence. That whacko would be dismissed as a crazyperson.
“Please show me how the existance of a God is irrational.”
It’s not falsifiable.
Confused?
