I'm looking around my apartment. The kitchen was recently cleaned and bleached, the carpets shampooed and vacuumed. My bed sheets are changed weekly. I keep my books dusted. The laundry is done every two weeks. Dishes go immediately into the dishwasher. I shower daily, brush my teeth thrice daily, and as a nursing assistant in training, I was my hands more times than I can count.
Where's the room and time for filth? Hell, I gave my rats a dry bath a few days ago.
If you look at what the Free Conservatives are angry at, you'd probably be angry too. The article describes a bunch of gay men seducing people through the internet, meeting them in person and raping them, with intent to spread AIDS. These people are beyond "weirdo," it's just fucking sick.
This would be wrong whether it was gay people or straight people spreading AIDS, but naturally fundies will take this as an example and say "SEE?!? SEE?!? WE TOLDJA THOSE QUEEEERS CAN'T BE TRUSTED!"

Yeah, let's blame the liberal sex culture on the fact that the Netherlands has an estimated 0.4% of adults living with HIV/AIDS while America's much better sex culture has an estimated 1.0% of adults living with HIV/AIDS. Yeah, those Dutch must be doing something really wrong, there.

My next door neighbors are gay, and they're pretty tidy. Their yard is cleaner than mine, and they clean up after their dogs. The only "filth" being spread is by teenagers tossing Propel bottles out of their car windows.
