It most certainly is not my intention to blame the epidemic of mass murders on the gay rights movement! It is my intention to point out that the success of the sexual revolution is inversely proportional to the decline in morality; and it is the decline of morality (and the faith that so often under girds it) that is the underlying cause of our modern day epidemic of mass murders.

Fun fact, though I am entirely too lazy to look up the citation right now so take it with a grain of salt: At least at one point (because I read this ages and ages ago, hence the laziness about finding it again), girls who had been abused by their fathers were considerably more likely to be from families with traditional family structure (working father, stay-at-home mom) and more than the average number of children, than girls of the same generation in the general population.
The same work also pointed out that this had probably been the case for a very long time, and that the Bible specifically forbids a great number of incestuous relationships... and yet contains no age of consent and no prohibition against fathers having sex with their daughters, and at least one case of this happening and being acceptable.
In other words, Bob? You've got a bit of a plank in your eye, there. Might want to have that looked at.

n.b. correlation does not imply cause. If it did, we could claim that religion causes immorality, since the more religious a person is, the more likely they are to commit crimes.

Just because more rapes are reported and more ice cream cones are sold during the summer months doesn't mean that going out and buying yourself a 2-scoop at Braum's is going to make you sexually violate the first woman you see.
Which all explains why so many people get killed--murdered in masses, if you will--for violating the many, many, many rules relating to sexual morality in fundamentalist Muslim countries!

Because all those other countries that have the gay marriage are pits of sin and depravity. I mean, nobody ever wants to visit, say, Amsterdam, because they're afraid that they're going to be raped and murdered as they get off the plane!
There is rape, fornication and incest in the Bible; these are hardly new to humanity.
Look up the rates of porn consumption and teen pregnancy; they are highest in fundie states, where sexual repression is greatest.

Okay so morality is basically in the toilet if gay marriage is allowed. Where is the evidence of this? How does two CONSENTING people with the same sex organs getting married pave the way for murder, rape, and other atrocities? Actually, I would suggest that it is the emotional naivete' caused by your brand of religion that has provoked the recent spate of mass murders. You don't expect people to mature emotionally. We are in the begining stages of a worldwide social evolution that has people marrying later in life. This is happening for purely economic reasons. It is no longer economically feasible to get married at age 15 and have 10 kids. Since people are not getting married until well in their 20's you are seeing a rise in pre-marital sex...if you think it is realistic for people to wait 10+ years to have sex after attaining sexual maturity you are truly an asshat.
This is not a conspiracy...the "wicked left" is not making this happen. It just is. Deal with it.
