If it isn't true, then it doesn't work. Science is the study and categorization of creation as per Genesis 2. If Scripture teaches something, then science should be bound by that teaching along with every other discipline. If geocentrism is correct biblical teaching, then Christians ought to do science from that perspective. If, on the other hand, Scriptural language does not contradict other models, then the Christian is free to use them.

But Genesis 1 contradicts Genesis 2, so why does chapter 2 take precedence? Entomologists are going to have difficulty, since the Bible says insects have four legs while every one they find has six. Engineers are going to have difficulty when their calculations are based on pi=3.

Science is the result of the observation of evidence, and when you and I and the guy behind the hedge look at that evidence, we should all be able to see the same thing. The bible teaches biblical mythology, not science.

So, the earth is completely stationary, neither orbiting the sun or revolving on it's own axis? Rabbits chew their cud? Snow and rain are kept in storehouses until they are needed?
