[After making many inaccurate comments about the big bang, and being given a link to webcast astronomy courses from UC Berkeley.]
LOL...box you put courses for me to learn from Berkely.
Somehow I don't think Berkely is that opposed to teaching evolution and would teach, just as almost every other classroom through the U.S., that the Big Bang and evolution are true and would teach things that we would have absolutely no idea about.
Sorry...don't think I'll be learning from Berkely today.

Alejandro, I think you mean "Becky," as in Becky153. And, yes, you are right; both of them seem equally deserving of this award.
Yahweh, do you ever give out shared awards? If not, we need to come up with some alternate titles that can convey similar sentiments here.

Well, the first thing you could learn is that the name of the city is BERKELEY.
This is another of those dopes that will always be dopes. They refuse to expose their peanut-size minds to anything that they don't already "know" so their idiot world-view can remain intact. Unfortunately, most of these people eventually vote and drive and have children. Oh, the humanity!
that's so damn funny. Man, Scotty - you won't be learning from that university, or indeed from any.
We don't need no education, indeed.
Hey - this was my Astronomy professor at Berkeley!!!
"So instead of listening to Alex Filipenko who actualy does look through telescopes you listen to Hovind who knows jackshit about telescopes, physics, basicly anything that has something to do with reality."

Sorry, I don't think I'll be learning from any source that doesn't support my predetermined conclusions.
Maronan, reporting from one of the very many secular universities in this country.
Maronan has a physics midterm in a few hours and is not prepared, but is still typing in the comments box on FSTDT.
Maronan is considering finding a university that offers an "Intelligent Design" course merely because ID is untestable. (Double entendre, not much of a joke there, I'm afraid.) (That doesn't mean I'm serious, so don't freak out.)
Then stop having arguments against scientific findings using bullshit claims from people who have no scientific education or understanding. Honestly, it's like taking a five year olds opinion of your car trouble over a mechanics knowledge.
Just ignore everything you hear about the Big Bang if you refuse to look at the actual concept
"Sorry...don't think I'll be learning from Berkely today."
'Don't think'? It's blatantly obvious that you didn't learn anything when you were 'hoemskuled'.
Or you'd have known how to at least spell 'Berkeley'.
...and no, I don't want fries with that, Mr... (*looks at name badge *)
...Scotty.
And you wonder why, in the next two years, China is set to become superior to the US when it comes to not just R&D, but pure scientific research. They already possess the Tianhe-1A, the most powerful supercomputer on the planet.
You want your country to be inferior to China, you go right ahead, Scotty. James Doohan - who played chief of engineering (thus by definition a scientist ) Scotty in "Star Trek" must be spinning in his grave (and even then, will have invented an unlimited source of energy, re. perpetual motion).
Confused?
