If we could somehow remove fetuses from women and grow them in artificial wombs, that would satisfy both sides of the abortion debate...unless the debate was really about punishing women... Artificial wombs could potentially free women from the danger, and for some, degradation of pregnancy.

But, say, making pregnancy a completely voluntary process? That’s still going to have occassions when the woman changes her mind, or events change such as a death in the family, or a cancer requiring radiation that’ll terminate the fetus… Not quite obsoelte. But of course, some people will scream that YOU MADE YOUR CHOICE NOW LIVE BY IT!
