In the near future, abortion will be illegal.
Abortion goes against the rights of men. Women should not have the right to independently abort a man's seed without his consent.
In the age of male contraception, male birth control pills, and artificial womb technologies, abortion should be illegal under all circumstances.

How would male contraception result in abortion being illegal? I know that I, as a male-type person, would gladly take a pill if it would render me sterile (temporarily) without rendering me impotent. I should hope that such a contraceptive would be popular and reduce the need for abortion, but that's a far cry from making abortion illegal.
For the record, though, I have long maintained that the father is the only person who has any right to be consulted in arriving at the decision to abort. Ultimately, it's the pregnant woman's choice, but other than her own preference, the father is the only other person whose opinion ought to matter at all. (And he should still respect her position when they disagree.)
Yeah, this idiot's mistake is thinking that all men want children whilst their girlfriends don't.
Does this mean I have to have kids?
Abortion and contraception are a triumph over nature. It lets you fuck without responsibility! How could that be a BAD thing? It lets you enjoy yourselves without obligation...
This guy has to be a poe.

Sadly, this might well be the case.
If men want to decide what happens to their seed on their own, then they ought to keep it under their control and not spread it around. Men should not have the right to independently mix their seed with a woman's egg, without her consent. In the age of contraception for both males and females, (almost) no abortion should be needed, as long as everyone stick to consent-only sex.
Abortion should NEVER be illegal under all circumstances, asshole! A very important circumstance is when the fetus threatens the health or life of the woman. If the woman dies, so does the fetus, in most cases. As the woman is self-sustainable and sentient, her life is more important than the life of the fetus, which is neither viable outside the womb nor sentient.
Women should not have the right to independently abort a man's seed without his consent.
No, it's HER seed! He's the pollinator!
All this jazz about "The Man's Holy Seed" is ridiculous! It implies the baby is all his therefore he's king-god-emperor of the pregnancy!
Nope, a better analogy is that the woman has the flower (vulva/vagina/uterus), which bears the seed (ovum) & the man has the pollen (semen/spermazoa) to activate the seed (ovum) and...uh..."babby is formed".
You'll be amazed how the reproductive system fits almost perfectly with flower reproduction!
A lady's vulva is her own lovely flower...complete with pretty pink petals. =)
About that "Artificial Womb" stuff, has this bozo gotten into the "gold" Krylon spray paint, again?
Gosh, so stupid.
If, through technology, a man could carry a baby to term, he would have the same rights to have an abortion or not women currently have.
Of course, the issue then becomes who takes care of the baby.
Women should not have the right to independently abort a man's seed without his consent.
In most cases, I would imagine abortion is not only with his consent, but with his encouragement.
If you're going to cite the availability of birth control as a reason for abolishing abortion, how come the same people who oppose abortion also oppose sex education and easier access to birth control?
"male birth control pills"
Where can I get these pills? As far as I know only two forms of contraception are open to men. Condoms and vasectomies.
"Women should not have the right to independently abort a man's seed without his consent."
How many men suddenly decide they want to be dads the moment some one night stand tells them they are pregnant? Virtually zero. Millions of abortions have been encouraged by men who didn't want to be paying for a kid or kids for the next eighteen years of their lives. Get in the real world.
Actually, I do think it is unfair that men don't have the same control over reproduction that women do.
But unless we drastically change the way humans reproduce, it has to be a womans choice, because she is the one that has to carry the baby inside her body.

China: The largest standing army on the planet. USA's nearest superpower rival. They have nukes .
Abortion happens in China, on a virtually industrial scale.
Good luck with that, Kushitty .
i wish we did have artificial womb technology, actually. divorcing reproductive biology from women's health might be a good thing for gender equality, removing that stumbling block from the political equation.
...oh, who am i kidding, the religionists would call it a tool of satan and the MRA's would go spare, just like they always do about every damn thing...
Uh. Why would all those things make abortion illegal, if they actually existed? Is it a case of "you didn't take enough precautions to avoid pregnancy, so you gotta birth the precious little turd as a consequence" or something?
Everyone should support male contraception, as men should indeed be able to control their fertility/reproductive choices. But you can't violate someone's bodily autonomy. If there's an embryo embedded in your own guts you can decide whether it stays there or not. That's kind of more important than a man's wishes for his sperm sample to be gestated into a baby. If it gets to that point, even, since miscarriage is a thing.
First of all, this is stupid.
Second of all, what if the man does consent? Often in a pregnancy, whether or not the father is willing to help take care of the baby is actually a key factor in whether or not an abortion takes place.
@mythbuster43: the majority of fundies quoted here want a government small enough to fit into a couples' bedroom, while being simultaneously big enough to stop every single thing they fear, hate and despise.
@Mike Litoris: preborn, you're fine. Preschool, you're fucked.
> Women should not have the right to independently abort a man's seed without his consent.
According to your logic, then, abortion should still be legal, but require the consent of both parents.
"Women should not have the right to independently abort a man's seed without his consent."
Actually, it's the other way around: men does not have the right to tforce a woman carry a child they fathered to term according to the 13th amendment to the US Constituion (which prohibits forced servitude).

Now where have I heard that before?
(Soon, soon)
Oh, yeah, now I remember.
Confused?
