So indoctrinated into hatred and manipulated into self-deprivation that it manifests in apparent perverse sadism, eagerly waiting for others to be punished? Anyway:
"heaven' isn't granted to us by good works, but by obedience"
This is interesting because there are Christians who claim that group identity or "accepting Jesus in your heart" is enough. Others who claim that works are necessary, often exploiting their members.
But this part seems common in another context as well as in the high control groups of the various denominations. Obedience and loyalty. But it's never really to God, that's their excuse to control and manipulate you. It's to that particular group and its human leaders. In some cases they'll gladly reject you and even push your family to do so and shun you. Throughout history we see exemples of worse than that.
Then among politically active ones, there's the common accusation of cancel culture, aimed at any legitimate criticism of their questionable nonsense. Yet they're the ones actively rejecting their own members as "heretics" the most. There are also deeper reasons for that, just like for the radical echo chambers. Against reality, rational arguments and evidence don't stand well. A somewhat consistent narrative, enforced through authoritarianism, using conspiracy theories as needed to self-justify, even if remote from reality, seems to have more success. Ironically, they'll then accuse the rest of the world of groupthink...
"The creator has every right to do whatever it so chooses"
And so far, if he exists, he decided to remain passive, letting cruel and ignorant humans persecute their own and claim that the persecution originates from outside, instead...
