Note that the left has successfully re-branded Nazi Germany as right-wing, when in fact it was very leftist. Its official name was the National Socialist Worker’s Party, and many sectors of the economy were government controlled.

Also, genocide is itself a leftist concept, since humans are seen as being on the ‘cost’ side of the ledger, and if resources are assumed to be fixed (a leftist assumption), reducing the number of people increases the per-capita.

People of a free-market, capitalistic bent believe in higher birth rates, immigration of skilled immigrants, and productivity gains through technology. This is (or should be rescued as the definition of) ‘right-wing’.

So it was named the National Socialist German Worker's Party. Big deal. It still practiced fascism, a far-right wing ideology. It did not pretend to believe in equality for all as is the case with communism.

I'm pretty sure the genocide WASN'T meant to increase per capita production. It was meant to protect "racial purity" in Germany, if I recall correctly.

The Nazis believed in high birth rates (abortion was outlawed for Germans and only permitted for... well, everyone else) and wanted all Germans to be in their pan-Germanic state (see also: annexation of the Sudetenland). The Nazis were also very, very big on technology. They wished to develop the atom bomb before anyone else. I could just as easily tell you that communism was far-right wing and provide you with "evidence" (eg. homophobia).

From the standpoint of libertarianism Nazi Germany is left-wing, but of course as libertarianism generally holds that public roads are socialism, any definition brought forth within a libertarian standpoint can pretty much be dismissed as fucking insane. The Nazis were economically centrist, and politically right-wing - a tradition that lives on in contemporary European nationalist circles.

Genocide is fueled by hatred, not by cold rational economic meassuring. Economically genocide doesn't make sense, which is why libertarians generally prefer to just let the poor starve to death.

As much as you want to kick and scream against the definition of right wing, the colums of rightism remain: nationalism, authoritarianism, capitalism and xenophobia. If you truly believe that productivity gains through technology is a rightist concept, take a look at the Soviet modernization campaigns, because holy hell did they leave the rest of the world in the dust for a while there.

So why is it that it's the right wingers who shouted out "let him die" when Ron Paul was asked about what to do with an uninsured 21 year old who gets sick? Why is it that the Tea Party is against any kind of healthcare reform? Why is it that Tennessee has a fucking healthcare lottery and has some of the worst healthcare conditions in any civilized nation? Fucking Remote Area Medical has to fly in choppers to take care of people that Tennessee won't take care of. But it's the capitalists who care about life and the socialists who see it as a cost/benefit analysis? When words mean the exact opposite of what they mean you know the fundie word redefinition project is nearly complete.

Says the people who are hellbent that the couple bucks more a month on their taxes are utterly incomprehensible if it means someone will be able to get life saving medical attention. Or how a woman's life is held hostage by a fertilized egg. Or how the mentally handicapped and shell shocked veterans areleft to their own devices rather than letting any resources being spent to help them integrate into society. Or how someone who is poor is clearly too lazy, and should be abandoned and left to rot on the streets...but no, please, I would like to hear more on how human life is so precious in the Republican's eyes.

Genocide is NOT a leftists concept, stupid, it's an extremist concept. To normal leftists, equal human rights is the most important thing in the world. Ask any profit-focused right-wing CEO what his largest cost post is, and he will DEFINITELY say "humans" or "workers" or "wages". The main leftist concept is "from each according to one's abilities, to each according to one's needs", similar to what Jesus (supposedly) said.
