A sin is an act which offends God. However, as there is no God, he cannot be offended. Therefore, there is no sin.

When our government legalized gay marriage there were those on this side of the border who railed on about how it would mean the end of our civilization, make a joke of traditional marriage, and destroy the family. We're still around.
That is the good part of democracy. The prime minister (I hope I used to correct English term) of the Dutch government stated during some kind of diplomatic trip that he was against gay marriage but that the majority was in favor.
I've been to Vancouver and Quebec, and people weren't exactly committing lewd and lascivious acts in the streets. They were, in fact, so pleasant and polite that returning to the States was a rude shock.
Julian beat me to it, but I immediately thought of how we are constantly told by these fundies that God's anger is seen in natural disasters and the behavior of it's citizens. This would explain why Canada has been ravaged by so many wild fires, mudslides, and hurricanes, and has the highest murder rate, infant mortality, deepest poverty of any western nation....oh wait...that would be the USA...nevermind.
