The audacity of defying God. Any so-called Supreme Court Justice who votes to undermine God's sacred institution of marriage is begging for extreme torment for eternity. They must somehow be MIGHTY sure that Jesus was a fraud, and that the Bible is nonsense. Talk about high stakes. We sure have come a long way in the past 230 years. Mostly straight down to you know where. More proof that evolution is horse manure.

Y'see, Steve, the Supremes are there to deal with the LAW. If god doesn't like someone's marriage, don't you think he ought to come to tell us? But no, all we get are the would-be-gods such as yourself, all of whom think THEY are the only one who has it right.
And don't worry about evolution, as it appears to have passed you by.
You'd better commence plans to throw away all your technology, shun modern medicine, and live an 18th century lifestyle then if you want to regain God's appraisal. Though, you should still expect criticism, as this would only be a lifestyle choice. *fnark*

Good thing that's not what they're ruling on.
The Supreme Court is deciding whether
1) All states have to recognize same-sex marriages performed in other states.
2) The Federal Government (and hence all states) have to recognize same-sex marriage.
And this is based off of interpreting the Constitution, which makes no reference to God. Therefore whether God exists and marriage is His sacred institution does not matter whatsoever/
Or, y'know, they might be a different kind of Christian to you.
And WTF does evolution have to do with it?
"They must somehow be MIGHTY sure that Jesus was a fraud, and that the Bible is nonsense. Talk about high stakes."
Someone else said it best (not sure who on here did): the key part of "if then" statements is not the "then", but the "if". If the Bible is not evidently true, piling on the alleged consequences of it being true does not help your case at all, and it just makes the defenders of the Bible look desperate.

So, Pascals Wager, the 2015 edition.
"More proof that evolution is horse manure."
How is this anything to do with evolution?
I thought it was the Supreme Court of the United States that was hearing the case.
Why would your god have anything to do with it?
Edit:
Just out of curiosity, since I seem to have forgotten. Where exactly in the bible is the prohibition on gay marriage?
"the Bible is nonsense."
Cherrypicking from a titbit of Leviticus: which never applied to Gentiles , yet not obeying Romans 13:1-7, so hey: you said it, we - least of all the SCOTUS - didn't .
Nope, no inconsistency on the part of you fundies, nosiree! [/hyper-sarcasm]
...and from marriage to evolution? Not exactly seeing the relevance to Kitzmiller vs. Dover a decade ago to what the SCOTUS are deciding since yesterday, so a definite case of:

Sakura Kinomoto is standing on Optimus Prime's shoulder. Your argument is invalid .
@Anon-e-moose
One, I love you. Two, what happened to Prime’s GLORIOUS grill-abs? And i’ve seen that 8-bit sun before, I just can’t place it.
230 years ago the powers establishing Americas form (constitution) ALSO were mighty sure the whole thing was nonsense.
And according to you WND knobs, those boys knew what they were doing.
How does this have anything to do with evolution?? I could literally point out that the sun was shining, and you'd accept that as "proof" that evolution is false. Do you people even listen to yourselves anymore, or are you just that caught up in your caricature of an existence?
@Dr. Razark
Nowhere. There is no prohibition.
The Jewish Holiness Code in Leviticus bans one of four forms of male/male intercourse.
Some interpretations of Sodom & Gomorrah (SP?) say the crime was homosexuality, even though there was no such concept at the time, and even through the original Hebrew teachings and/or later commentary within the bible say otherwise.
Several other passages ban male prostitution, and this is often translated as "homosexual" since there is no English equivalent term.
The new testament also bans people who would "naturally" use one sex for intercourse from using the other sex for intercourse.
The new testament also bars two other acts that are difficult, if not impossible, to interpret. Some people interpret these as "homosexuality", although that was not a term that then existed and there where more common terms that meant same-sex intercourse. Most likely they refer to the pederasty.

Meh. He isn’t a citizen, he doesn’t get a vote.
“Any so-called Supreme Court Justice who votes to undermine God's sacred institution of marriage is begging for extreme torment for eternity.”
The sacrement is unaffected by allowing gays to marry. They just enter a partnership validated by our secular government. It’s muc more of a ‘render unto Caesar’ thing.
" They must somehow be MIGHTY sure that Jesus was a fraud, and that the Bible is nonsense.”
Or that it doesn’t apply to or rule over the secular nation.
“Talk about high stakes.”
Do you have any argument against the decision besides ‘burn in hell’?
“We sure have come a long way in the past 230 years. Mostly straight down to you know where. More proof that evolution is horse manure.”
Society is in our heads, not biology. Evolution has fuck-all to do with it.
And your god has fuck-all to do with the secular government.
Confused?
