@LOLWUT: Really, this is nothing. You should have seen the flame war that erupted when I protested the profanity filter blocking the word "transsexual" and "lesbian" but not the misspelling "transexual", nor "homosexual," "gay" or "dyke." Thankfully, I was marginally successful in getting Blizzard to at least add some words to the blocked list for it to be a bit more fair.
Actually, it's a pretty neat phenomenon. People start believing in science religiously, even though it is not at all a religion. I'm sure I did it when I was younger even though it seems weird as fuck to me now.
As a physicist let me say "Right on, brother!"

I disagree. Firstly because evolution is part of Biology, not an alternative to it.
Secondly because Biology and Physics don't contradict each other nearly enough to be compared with the Old and New Testament.

Its pretty simple really, i guess. The more popular something is, the more chance of assholes getting into it. Just that i'd think all of the back story and the different races/classes would stop fundies getting into it.
Science lacks everything, that religions has.
Which is lack of god(s) or supernatural being(s), petty and flawed rules, bullshit and hate/warmongering.
On the first two comments, I was wondering the same thing...they curse D&D, and other such fantasy, yet they all seem to be curiously obsessed with video games. But about the post, is he equating different parts of Scripture to different sciences in a mystical manner, or is there some other point he's trying to make?

Science isn't becoming a new religion because religions are all based on unproven bullshit: A supreme creator God and his will published for all, a bleedin' book!
