Do you believe in evolution?
look at the cell. there is so much detail in it. seriously how could that have gotten there by chance? so if you believe the big bang theory, where did the matter that exploded come from? it was just "there"? i want you evolutionists to try something. throw a pen at a stack of paper. does it write a thousand page essay with high detail "by chance"? just tell me if it does...

"look at the cell. there is so much detail in it."
And yet we understand basically everything about it.
"seriously how could that have gotten there by chance?"
It couldn't... It evolved.
"so if you believe the big bang theory,"
What if I don't? Big Bang and evolution are completely separate theories.
"throw a pen at a stack of paper. does it write a thousand page essay with high detail "by chance""
Of course not. However, if the random scribbles competed over limited resources they would eventually form something unlikely-looking.
A eukaryotic cell is not the same thing as the first cells that appeared on Earth. In fact those cells were probably much, much simpler then even the simplest bacteria alive today. Furthermore there is no chance involved in abiognesis or evolution. Every step in abiogenesis is controled by the laws of chemistry, which is not random at all. In fact given the conditions of Earth, I would say that life wasn't some crazy coincidence, but an inevitability that resulted in increasingly complex organic systems. And please don't bring up Thermodynamics.
Argument from ignorance, squared. Sorry, but the only people who would accept that are the ones who are at least as ignorant as you are. Sadly, you just might find some.

I need not try. You are suggesting magic, which does not happen in this space-time continuum. Just as an adult H. sapiens does not spring directly from dirt.
"so if you believe the big bang theory, where did the matter that exploded come from? it was just "there"?"
So if you believe in God, where did he come from, it was just "there"?
"seriously how could that have gotten there by chance?"
Every time a Creationist claims that Evolution involves nothing but chance, God kills a kitten.
Please. Think of the kittens.
"seriously how could that have gotten there by chance?"
It didn't. That's what evolution is all about: gradual progress and change directed by the fact that relative stagnation and/or regress will result in destruction. Edumacate yourself.
"where did the matter that exploded come from? it was just "there"?"
Basically, yes. We can't say much more than that at this current and saying otherwise (e.g. Goddidit) is intellectually dishonest.
And analogy, as usual, is fail.
Do you believe in evolution?
No. However, I do have good reason to think it's the truth of the matter. It's certainly the most convincing and robust of the explanations I've seen so far.

Irreducible Compexity. FAIL!!!
...throw a pen at a stack of paper. does it write a thousand page essay with high detail "by chance"? just tell me if it does...
Strangely enough something actually happened. I prayed to some demons I'm possessed by, and the pen filled all 1,000 pages with "All religion and no thought makes Happyasusual4 a total jerk-off".
Evolution is not random. The mutations are random, yes, but with natural selection cultivating them, the process is anything but random.
i want you evolutionists to try something. throw a pen at a stack of paper. does it write a thousand page essay with high detail "by chance"? just tell me if it does...
I want you christers to try something. Lay a pen on a stack of paper and pray to your jebus. Does the pen magically write a thousand page essay with high detail "miraculously"? just tell me if it does...
Fixed.
"i want you evolutionists to try something. throw a pen at a stack of paper. does it write a thousand page essay with high detail "by chance"? just tell me if it does..."
I can tell you that "by chance", something else will use the pen to write on that piece of paper.
Holy shit, I tried that "throw a pen at paper" experiment and it wrote my term paper.
I never need to do my own school work again! Praise God.
throw a pen at a stack of paper. does it write a thousand page essay with high detail "by chance"?
I did. It did. My dog ate it.
Throw a fundie at a keyboard. Will it write an intelligent message? Experiment still in progress.
Dear happyasusual4,
Do you know what you just said?
If you are going to throw a coin 20 times and write down the sequence of head and tails you end up with an probability of approx. 1:1.000.000, which proves that you are not able to repeat the exact same sequence you obtained by chance unless you want to have a life.
What you said means you can never ever, under any reasonable realistic circumstances, achieve the sequence you just did.
I hope you can grasp that difference.
for the thousandth time, EVOLUTION DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY.
random mutations ARE chance. but natural selection through the spreading of beneficial mutations ARE NOT chance.
What makes you think that chemistry and physics are random "chance"? On the contrary, they work in accordance with their respective rules.
And once again, inanimate objects don't "evolve", so you can throw a pen anywhere you like.
“Do you believe in evolution?”
I accept teh science.
“look at the cell. there is so much detail in it. seriously how could that have gotten there by chance?”
Feel free to actually PROVE that is an argument, not just you being scared of complexity.
“so if you believe the big bang theory, where did the matter that exploded come from?”
Personally, i think it came from a mail drop in New Jersey.
“it was just "there"?”
That’s where you say your god came from, right? What’s the issue?
“i want you evolutionists to try something. throw a pen at a stack of paper. does it write a thousand page essay with high detail "by chance"?”
Yes.
“just tell me if it does...”
It did. You’ll have to trust me on this, though, it probably won’t happen again.
Feel free to provide actuall PROOF that it did NOT happen that way. I’ll wait.
