Ask any neurologist, and he will tell you the whole "10%" thing is a load of dingo's kidneys. You use all of your brain; if you didn't you wouldn't have the unused portions. potential , which is a much different thing than "10% of your brain," and even the "10% potential" thing was mainly promoted by psychics and other such dubious people to make a fast buck off books and seminars.

Wrong again, Mikey. In the U.S., average lifespan is about 74 for men and 78 for women. In some countries it's higher, in many countries it's much lower, but it is not 80-90 years.

OH, the old myth of the 10%!!!. It was bad used to justify telekinesis and no, it´s just a misunderstanding of the explanation how it works. Second, living 900 years is not a sign of intelligence. If the pre-flood man was more intelligent, where are the advancements and progress that that IQ should reflet?. The problem is again, mistunderstanding. The fact is life expectancy is around 80, NOW, but I haven´t heard of anyone up to 900. Moreover, archaeology keeps saying that, at the time, at fourty you were already old.

There has never been a time when people could live to be that old. Genisis is a fairy tale, just like the rest of the Bible. Some people got lucky, and lived longer than the expected average, which is probably what gave rise to this myth in the first place. But somebody living into their 60's in 1000 C.E. is just luck, and not proof of anything.

Yeah, sure they were. And they all had flying cars and went to Atlantis for summer vacation. It is true that ancient humans were anything but stupid, and some cultures were quite advanced for their time. But there was no mythical, golden age where everybody was a genius and lived for impossibly long stretches of time. As I said above, that's all just a fairy tale.
Even if we do only use 10% of our brains now (which is a myth) and pre-flood people used 100%, there's still no logic to them living to be 900 years old. The vital organs wouldn't keep going for that long just because the brain is more efficient. An aging heart is an aging heart, independent of the brain.

Dear halfwit. NO scientist agrees that we only use 10% of our brain. That myth was born out of the 1st ever brain scan. Which, being a still image, only showed activity for 1/24th of a second. As we know now the activity varies from moment to moment depending on what we are doing. Now that that is clear.

When it is said that an average person only uses 10% of his/her brain, it means a maximum 10% of it AT ANY ONE TIME, because different parts of the brain do different things, and we do not ever need to use all of those parts simultaneously.

Setting aside the 10% urban legend, even the math is wrong here:
The "post-flood" man uses 10% of his brains and lives 90 years. If the "pre-flood" man would use 100% of his brains he would live to be 9 years old. In order for the "pre-flood" man to live to be 900 years old he would have to use only 1% of his brain, which leads to the conclusion that Mike_VDS will live forever.
