When I watched a “Reformed” believer, Doug Wilson, argue that Papists were to be considered our Christian kinsmen, I literally wanted to vomit. I don’t mean that metaphorically; I mean it made me literally sick to my stomach.

Its funny when a Protestant claims to be "going back to the Bible" and avoiding all that supposed Catholic corruption of the "original" message, without realizing that their bible came from Catholic decisions as to what to keep and what to throw out. They aren't bypassing Catholics at all when they do this. If they really want to impress me, read the passages in the original Hebrew, and make sure to include the manuscripts the Catholic church threw out. Or at least go back a little bit from Catholics and go Greek Orthodox. But as long as you're using their bible, you're not bypassing them in the slightest.

If you're a member of a Protestant church you are, metaphorically, just the little brother of the Catholic Church, a Johnny-come-lately with your own peculiar habits. And if you've got to the age of literacy, say 12 or 13, without knowing the history of your own church, then you are a singularly uninformed ignorant stupid member of the Fundigelical cult.

When they want to claim that this is a Christian country, they lump Catholics, Protestants, Mormons, and any loony that shouts about Jesus from the street corner. They'd even count atheists that shout 'JESUS!' when they hammer their thumb, if they had numbers on that.

If the Catholics are not classed as Christians, your statistics go right down. About 2.3 billion people are classed as Christian worldwide, making it the largest religion. About 1 billion of these are RCs, so without them you're a minority.https://www.thoughtco.com/christianity-statistics-700533
