[IIRC, Gould does an excellent job of explaining the Cambrian Explosion.]
Um....no, actually, he doesn't.
/yes, I actually read Gould.

Okay, smart guy, go ahead and show off some mental muscle and outdo Gould at explaining the Cambrian Explosion. Just be sure to leave the word God out of any part of your "explanation," since Critical Thinking Skills preclude the acknowledgment of the supernatural.

we work on these things called Critical Thinking Skills.
You've got a lot to work on yet, then.
Look, Stephen Gould is a science fiction author. Stephen Jay Gould was the evolutionary biologist.
Stephen Gould, a fine author though he may be (I wouldn't know; I haven't read his works), did not and would not address the reality of the Precambrian "Explosion", because he writes works of fiction .
Stephen Jay Gould, OTOH, wrote a fair piece on the subject, and utterly demolished any idea that idiots...er... creationists... might have that it posed a problem for evolution.
Not that reading S.J. Gould's works would help you much; I somehow doubt that reading comprehension is very strong among students at bible colleges.
And the only thing that's "Critical" about your reading skills is that the attempt to teach you to read was, obviously, a critical failure. Had it not been, you would have been able to attend actual college.

DID you read Gould?
Or did you read a critique of Gould?
See, when I saw the Last Temptation Of Christ, there were Christains protesting the movie. I talked to a few, but none of them had ever seen the movie. Someone else had told them what to think about it.
When we saw The Pope Must Diet, there were a couple Catholics protesting. None of them could tell me what was wrong with the movie besides the title. Someone had told them to be upset.
Time and again, I seem to find really opinionated people who don’t know what they’re talking about but claim they do.
SO i really doubt that you ‘read Gould’s explanation of the Cambrian Explosion.’ Maybe you cuold tell us what you find faulty in his take?
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
