It is more scary than you can imagine. I recently read something that posited that the nephilim of the old testament were able to come to this plane of existence by entering chimera bodies. That is what a human animal hybrid really is. But the article stated that it was the human part that was able to accept the spirit of the nephilim and the animal part that prevented a human soul from occupying it at conception. I will try to remember where I saw this so I can post a link.
