Yes, I do in fact suppose that the atheists believe my God exists, and simply ignore Him. Thus, that the person is an atheist is your premise, not mine. If atheists by definition do not believe that God exists, then I am asserting that atheists are not what they think they are. You have defined yourself, but you are incorrect in your definition.

Well, you would be wrong. Try again.
"Yes, I do in fact suppose that the atheists believe my God exists, and simply ignore Him."
Wouldn't this be the fault of your deity then? After all, he created an entire universe. It shouldn't be to hard to do something that would make him unignorable and yet I still don't see any sign of him around.
"You have defined yourself, but you are incorrect in your definition."
And you have defined yourself as a Christian, but you are incorrect in your definition. Wow, that works great both ways...
But Eric, you're a sea-anemone, your opinions don't matter. Now I know you don't think you are a sea-anemone, but I can assure you that you are wrong.
Atheist:Don't believe in any God(s)
What is so hard about that? It's never meant anything else.
If you don't understand english (or Latin in this case too) then we can't take you seriously.
If it was the million dollar question "Does an Atheist believe in God?" you would say "no" then.
Fundy word redefinition entry:
Atheist (noun)
1. a person who believes in the god of the Bible, yet denies it. Said person may or may not be aware that they believe in God.
2. a obscure sect of islamofascists
3. a follower of the Evolutionary Religion(tm)
I don't know why atheists are so thin-skinned about their lack of beliefs. If someone were to tell me that I really don't believe in God, but just pretend to, I might assert that they are wrong. But it just wouldn't be that offensive to me.
If it bothers you that much, you really should try agnosticism. I've heard it's a lot more relaxed kind of existence.
My favorite fundie tactic. Not liking the definition of a word as you apply it to yourself, they change it and then assert that the redefined word still applies to you.
Silly fundies can think whatever they want about my beliefs. It only bothers me when they try to turn it into public policy.
“Yes, I do in fact suppose that the atheists believe my God exists, and simply ignore Him.”
No, people ignoring the god they think exists are typically called ‘lapsed.’
I do not believe your god exists, or anyone else’s gods.
“Thus, that the person is an atheist is your premise, not mine.”
Ancient Romans called Ancient Christains atheists for not worshiping the mascot gods of the Roman Empire. I supposed some of them insisted that deep down inside, those people pretending to be monotheists were really pagans, just trying to hide their true faith for a false one.
“If atheists by definition do not believe that God exists, then I am asserting that atheists are not what they think they are.”
Assert, suppose, it’s just you pretending you know what I’m thinking.
“You have defined yourself, but you are incorrect in your definition.”
Feel free to prove this to be true. Or any slight reason to think it’s a useful statement.
Confused?
