And take note, once the next theory comes along that says we came from mars or dinosaurs grew us in fields or whateva, the theory of evolution will be lost. Yet even with this dominance that the theory of evolution has, the 7 day theory is still with us.

I don't know about you (but your statement says it all anyways), but I'm more inclined to listen to someone who is willing to admit they're wrong, and revise the theory, than someone who sits there going "LA LA LA LA LA I'M RIGHT, YOU'RE WRONG LA LA LA LA LA LA!"
Creationism isn't a theory, it's a fairy tale.
Turtle cosmology has probably been with us even longer, and somewhere, there's probably someone who still believes in it. Does that mean that it's right? Of course not.
Apply the discriminating logic you apply to every other creation myth to your own. Do you consider them all equally plausible? Why not?
For the "7 day theory" persisting, it is as Jesus said: "The poor will always be with us".
In this case, the poor in question are not lacking money, but are lacking in intellectual currency.

“once the next theory comes along that says we came from mars or dinosaurs grew us in fields or whateva,”
You say theory. DO you mean ‘hypothesis’? Or do you really mean the next theory which has evidence supporting it, so it is a theory and not just a question?
“the theory of evolution will be lost.”
How often has that happened, really? AN entire scientific theory abandoned?
Evidence has convinced people that sickness is germs, not demons. Or the ‘miasma’ of hospitals.
We’ve also lost the whole ‘balance of the humours’ idea.
But usually, most theories just get changed a bit to incorporate new observations. Euclid was never wrong, though his geometry doesn’t cover as much territory as we need.
So, considering just how much evidence has been collected to show evolution to be true, it’d take some AMAZING discoveries to completely wipe it out.
“Yet even with this dominance that the theory of evolution has, the 7 day theory is still with us.”
You, uh, you mean the 6-day theory? You should read it, you really should.
And the ‘theory’ has no science behind it at all. The 6-day STORY is what you have. So, scientific theories don’t disprove it, they also don’t support it. It’s not even tangential to the history we’re discovering.
Confused?
