So any Jewish actor portraying a Christain on screen is closer to this than anyone swearing.
Also, IIRC, no one swore at God in E.T. There was a reviewer who was upset that they used a swear that ’didn’t make sense.’ As young sailors at the time, we rushed to the movie to hear this nonsense swear. Found out it was ‘penis breath.’

Most of the people in those movies are the types of characters who swear.

watch the movie, ‘Venom,’ about a bunch of mercenaries. five minutes in, and i notice that these hard-bitten, bitter, tough guys all used these wimpy little cuss words. It took me out of the fictional narrative.
