The time for separation or secession has arrived, to deny the right of secession is to deny the right of self determination for a people, liberty itself. The need of the hour is for governors and state legislators to interpose their authority between the federal government and the citizens of their states. I greatly suspect that when one state moves to defy anti-Christian federal encroachment, many others will follow. I highly expect that the South will stick together as Christian republics. We can no longer abide with governments and populations given over to sodomy and every evil the mind of man can conceive.

Okay seperate from the USA. Become the collection of independent states with individual rights and a very weak central government as you want. Watch as the states can never get along as they are all doing their own thing and its a mess. There is a reason the sothern states will never truely leave the USA. Enough people know that the alternitive will be worse not better.
Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. learn from the civil war.
You have every right to secede yourself from the US; just move to another country.
I doubt you can find a state where everyone wants to secede; what about the right of self-determination and liberty of the ones who want to stay in the union?
Ezekiel 16:49
"Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy."
Sums up the teabaggers and Religious Right people pretty accurately.
As I recall, many of the southern states receive more money from the federal government than they pay in taxes, so by all means let them go. Give it six months for people to move freely between north and south, then close the border. It would be interesting to see how long it took before they were begging to be allowed back in.
You know it's kind of sad to see just how piss poor these idiots' understanding of the government really is. YOU DON'T HAVE A RIGHT TO SECEDE . You haven't had any such right since the secessionists lost the civil war. You can still rebel, of course, but quit trying to paint it as an exorcise of rights that you haven't had in over a century. You might as well try to claim the other "rights" that were given the boot at that time.
Sometimes I think it's a shame, too. I think about how much better off we'd be if we just gave these idiots what they want by giving them their own nation. I think about revoking their citizenship, shoving them all onto planes and seeing them off to their new Antarctic promised land.
You know, the first time this happened there was actually a legitimate reason beyond just "gub'mint don't want us enslavin' them nigs no more"; the South's economy was mostly dependent on the cotton and other such things the slaves picked for them. They were economically crippled for a number of years after they lost the war and were forced to free their slaves.
This shit is literally just "what? you want us to accept other people who aren't Christians like ourselves as human beings with equal rights? that ain't what the bible says to do, fuck that noise, we out!"
Looks like Nashville, Atlanta, and the more sane parts of the South (basically urban areas) will have the secede from the secession.
Or not, since there will be no secession because America already decided back in 1861 that you can't secede from the United States and promptly spent 4 years reminding everyone in the South of the law.

And Jackson, and Birmingham, and New Orleans. They'd pull a West Virginia and become the new State of New South!
THE NEW SOUTH WILL RISE FOR THE FIRST TIME!
Yes, and if this glorious new confederacy fails be sure to blame it on the interfering, manipulative former states that you used to share a country with. That's one trick you can use to win over the gullible patriots; just ask Nicolas Maduro of Venezuela.
I'd be apathetic towards fundies creating their own state if it didn't mean that it would grossly affect the many moderates that don't want to abide a theocracy, but cannot move for other reasons (work, family etc. ).
Because that worked so well once before...
But I'd really, really love to see them take the South and form their Republic of Jesusland. I have a feeling that the modern Republican party would look like a bunch of liberals there.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
