People hate athiest because athiest hate them. And admit it... you do. You, the athiest, hate 'religionist' with an unfettered passion. I think its somewhat plain to see that while a 'religionist' probably wants to 'save' you you wouldn't spit on 'em if they were on fire. All athiest, not far below the surface, hate believers. Period. I have RARELY seen a 'religionist', in a forum start a thread about evolutiuon. I cannot recall EVER seeing a 'religionist' start a thread about how much he despises athiest and their worldview.

It is instinctive to distrust liars. In my opinion athiest are liars to the core. They are dishonest about their real reason for being an athiest; the masturbation of the conscience. And athiest lie about 'respecting everyone'. That is just plain bullshit. I'm not the one hiding behind a mask saying, 'I respect your views and you're entitled to them.' I don't respect your self righteous views and regard aids patient fecal matter in higher esteem. I just wish you (the athiest) would admit the truth: you hate me because I believe there is a god, and you hate god because and you want to fuck my sister... or maybe even me.

So, let's see:
1. I am an atheist (actually I'm not, but that's a technical matter, and not pertinent to the current topic) 2. I hate your phony-baloney roman popsicle messiah (being fairly curtain at this point that the whole christian religion was created to try and pacify pissed-off red sea pedestrians) and 3. I want to fuck both you AND your sister. Of course, I'm not really gay, so what I was thinking was that you run the camera while I fuck your sister in the ass. Maybe we could shave you clean first and put a wig and heels on you so you at least look like a whore. That way, I won't loose my resurrection, eh, er, errection when we do the ass to mouth thing... Then again, maybe we could just sit down and quietly discuss the problems with your grammar. Like for example, the apparent fact that you can't even spell atheist. And then I'll fuck your sister.

Some of my best friends believe in some god or another, my wife (my best friend) does as well, and I do respect the fact that they believe in different things. I even go to church when my family asks.
I dislike extremists in any form and that may be the reason that you feel that some atheists may hate religious folks. Maybe you're just an extremist? I have seen multiple threads started by religious types about evolution or ID. I have only seen a few threads about hating atheists. I have, on the other hand, seen over 100 threads showing how much religious people despise and hate homosexuals. Maybe that's why people are turned off by extremist religious kooks and maybe that's why they treat you and your ilk with disdain. So, maybe you're the problem and you just can't see it. Dulli Dog

Do not presume to speak for me or for anyone other than yourself. You will speak wrongly. I do not hate Christians in general. I have a strong distaste for certain branches of Christianity, but I do not hate people for being Christian. Some of the traits I hate (bigotry, self-righteousness, and the belief that one is entitled to tell me how to run my life) seem particularly common among certain branches of Christianity, but it is not because of their association with Christianity that I hate them.

You must not have seen any of the forums I frequent. Even with nonbelievers (or at the least non-YECs) being the majority, the vast majority of the evolution threads were started by creationists.

You do not know my reasons for being an atheist, nor anyone else's. It is not so that I can ignore my conscience; we have simply substituted logical rules for dogmatic bullshit when it comes to morality. (As for becoming an atheist, the reason is simple: debating with fundies caused me to examine a great many arguments for and against religion - and I found that my own beliefs were susceptible to some of the same objections as theirs.)

Wrong. I reserve my hate for those who truly deserve it, those who intentionally cause harm to others for personal gain. You do not strike me as one of these, so I do not hate you. I dislike you because you're a stuck-up self-righteous prick who thinks he knows better than I do what I'm thinking. I dislike you because you appear to wish to dictate how I am to lead my life; unless my actions would cause harm to another, no one has that right. But I do not hate you.

Atheists are not automatically immoral. We derive our ethics in a completely different manner, but the end result is the same in many places - and when it isn't, I have yet to see a single justification for the theists' view aside from "God said so". "Because I say so" wouldn't have worked for my parents (I don't recall them ever resorting to it with me, though), and it certainly won't work for someone who claims to speak for God (unless I am given some evidence that they, in fact, do).

And if you were on fire, I would pee on you, because as an environmentalist, I'm against fires.
