I would love to see Ted Cruz as President!!! But, sadly, I don't think it will happen... it seems that the government of this nation has been given over to the Enemy, and the Enemy surely has a giant bull's-eye on Cruz's back by now. Either a literal bull's eye, or by stirring up a scandal or something else to discredit him and take away his votes. Or simply voter fraud on an epic scale.
I do not believe he will ever have the chance to step foot in the Oval Office, as badly as he's needed there

" Either a literal bull's eye, or by stirring up a scandal or something else to discredit him and take away his votes. Or simply voter fraud on an epic scale."
Or we could list all the moronic things he said.
You do realize Cruz was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and that no matter his current citizenship, he is not a natural born citizen? And you will no doubt remember all the heavy weather the Birthers made of that.
I just had breakfast, and I nearly threw up in my mouth a little after reading that first sentence. Not since I saw a "Santorum 2012" sign during the last presidential election have I had that visceral reaction.
Besides, Cruz was born in Canada so he's not a natural born citizen [/snark]

For which, the rest of us are thankful.
@SpukiKitty ,
John McCain was born on American soil, even if not actually in America. He's a born citizen, just like President Obama is. That being said, while I usually hate it when liberals play the race card (and I do identify as a liberal myself), when it comes to the birthers, sometimes it is way too easy.
As for railfan727, give the evidence of voter fraud. Some individuals working for ACORN filled out fraudulent registration forms because they were lazy. The organization caught it, and since they were required by law to submit ALL completed forms, submitted the suspicious ones in a separate folder which was flagged. I've heard people on the right going on and on about ACORN stealing the election, when there is no evidence that a single fraudulent VOTE was cast. The fact that there is no evidence, in fact, just proves the whole conspiracy. What makes it really funny is that Ann Coulter, a darling of the far right nuts who are promoting this conspiracy theory, actually has committed actual voter fraud.
Ok, rant over.
it seems that the government of this nation has been given over to the Enemy
Yup, government of the people, by the people, for the people. That must hurt.
Wouldn't people notice if he had a literal bull's eye on his back?
From what I've read about Ted Cruz, he usually manages to stir up scandals, and discredit himself, all on his own; he doesn't need any help.
He's born in Canada. Don't you people often mistrust people born outside mainland USA?
"But, sadly, I don't think it will happen... it seems that the government of this nation has been given over to the Enemy majority ..."
There. Fixed.
BTW, the Constitution isn't clear about whether a person who inherits citizenship from a citizen parent is eligible for the presidency. It just says they must be a "natural born citizen", and while Cruz would presumably be a citizen at birth upon application and meeting various other requirements, that wouldn't make him clearly "natural born", since both he and his mother would have to meet other residency conditions.
Ted Cruz shouldn't be allowed in the White House, even to take the tour or wash the floors. He will never be elected; the Democrats & the GOP will see to that.
I agree with Rob, I'd rather see Tom Cruise in the Oval Office; at least he usually has a good game face. Just keep him off the couch.
Don't despair, have a bit of faith. It's amazing what you can achieve when you believe wholeheartedly, and how soon you can achieve it too. You can have Ted Cruz, whoever he is, in the Oval Office in only a few billion years. You know you can.
I do not believe he will ever have the chance to step foot in the Oval Office, as badly as he's needed there
Why, is the toilet plugged up?
Oh, believe me- Ted Cruz doesn't need help in discrediting himself. Also, Ted Cruz isn't even eligible to be president. He was born in Canada, you silly goose.
Why the fuck would any sane person want Ted Cruz to be president?
By the way, Ted Cruz is probably eligible to be president as he was born in Canada of an American born mother.
The consensus of legal opinion is that he meets the criteria of "natural born" citizen. This was a point the birthers never understood. Even if Obama had been born in Kenya, Obama's mother was American.
So you want to elect someone who
- has a non-WASP name
- was born on foreign soil
- has a non-American father
- is part of a minority
- has only two years’ experience as a senator
Why did you guys then give Obama grief for the exact same things (even if some of them weren’t even real in Obama’s case)?
When most people realize a candidate is of the full on batshittery club,,,,
maybe it's you?
"I would love to see Ted Cruz as President!!! But, sadly, I don't think it will happen..."
...because frankly there would be more chance of a President Schwarzenegger than Scuzzy Cruzzy. [/"Demolition Man"]
But hey, if the Repubican Party are that bereft of their own credible candidates, thus they're reduced to nominating Canadians ...!
The update on this is that most Repugs have decided they don't care for Cruz at all now that the Gibbons here. He's getting the disrespect he deserves from their crowds and pundits have cast him off like they should have before. This is important because FoxNews and RW media is where all respect and disrespect is born for the average Conservative. When their told someones great they fall in line, years of elevating Trump is one of the largest reasons for his current popularity.
However, That still leaves us and them with the other Nazi.
Confused?
