Andy W: That "persecution" you feel is, in reality, resistance. If fundies would keep their superstitions and opinions to themselves and practice their religion quietly and privately, the way Jesus told them to, and desist from infecting modern public policy with their 6000 year old desert tribe dogma, there would be a lot less mocking and, dare I say, perhaps a little more respect.

I guess it will stop when you people stop persecuting others because they don't belive the exact same doctrine as you. Christians the the US know absolutely nothing about persecution other than how to persecute others.
A girl in my high school class once wore a t-shirt that said "Heaven isn't for everyone. Only Christians." When, well pretty much everyone, got offended and she was asked to change or at least turn it inside out, she cried that she was being persecuted.
