The parliament buckled to the dictates of the Islamic Ideology Council, a religiously right-wing advisory group with no legal authority. The same body has also said that taking DNA tests to identify a suspected rapist is against Islam.

This is what you get from a religion that forces you to SUBJECT. It makes you a slave and then gives no shit to the responsibility. This is one of the many facets of islam I hate, these are the essence of people I hate for embracing it. I might have a bunch of better ideas for your life, yet I will never raise as much as a palm to enforce it even though I believe in my convictions as truly as they do.

Sorry folks, while I do happily tolerate some more normal(in our western sense) muslims, I will never tolerate their religion, I simply willl not tolerate submission in any form, not to the idea of a higher being behaving in his own legends like a spoiled sociopatic child. If you would rather sell us to your(imagined or not) slave driver than stand with your own species and defy, then you need to die. Call me a psycho if you wish, then note I will never behave like that for any other group and make your own conclusion. I do not think we can talk with them, reason with them, not in the way it`s been done so far. It is not all ambivalent, we`ve made the furthest discoveries of all those of our kind, we`ve given our people the most equal and free society of those on earth, there is not a speck of reason why should I consider someone willing to hurt others of their kind for as little as sexual encounter or dress my equal. The onlly reason I could have in fact to hurt or kill others would be to precisely stop stuff like above from happening, there is no equvalence here.

So you're basically straight-up admitting that your religion is an excuse to be a misogynist. Thank you for the honesty.
Lastly, for the benefit of that one incredibly annoying anon who inevitably turns up in any thread that mentions Islam, I would like to point out that:
1. There are people in Pakistan who object to this, so it's not the monolithic, unchangeable problem you seem to think it is.
2. The idea that rapists shouldn't take DNA tests, while horrible and inexcusable, is not unique to Islam, and is therefore not a reason to discriminate against refugees.
I don't like to respond pre-emptively like this, but the anon in question never acknowledges responses to the things s/he says. Hopefully answering this way will finally get across to him/her.

A raped woman in Saudi Arabia was going to be flogged for unauthorised sex. Her rapists videoed the rape with her own phone and left it with her. When she showed the vid to the court to prove she was raped the response was sharia doesn't mention phone videos as acceptable evidence in rape accusations.

They really are living in the 7th century.

Not true. There are batshit bible verses that christian fundies won't touch with a ten foot pole because they are so at odds with western morality. Others are dismissed as metaphors because they were proven factually incorrect so long ago.

Jerry Falwell engaged a liberal preacher in a debate about how the bible bans gay anything so we should outlaw it. The liberal then used bible verses to prove we should have slavery. Falwells response was buh dee buh dee buh dee, the opposite of what happens in muslim controlled societies.

Creationists can't teach evolution in public schools just because bible. They have to set up their own parallel schools system in order to teach genesis as science. In muslim societies a lynch mob decends on the school and burns the science books.

It's always frustrating hearing about misogyny in non-Western societies.

It's often funny at times when it's Western and the bigot gets a smackdown or much activism & outcry is made when he doesn't.

However; In societies like Africa, The Mid-East, Greater India (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc.), it's super depressing and getting change is like pulling teeth. I'm surprised that all the women and girls haven't snapped and gone postal, already! Maybe someone should put that idea in the ladies head!

Someone better drill these weak, inferior males that it was one Hadith of spurious value written by a senile old pervert. Aisha was likely at least in her LATE teens (which was normal adulthood, back then). Aisha was also a strong badass woman whom Mohammed respected and who was second to Mohammed himself as far as a great leader.

In fact, Mohammed was mostly wed to older women! He was a MILF-kinda guy!

Islam has a lot of horrid & questionable stuff and is big on junk like "modesty" and "Gender Complimentary/Gender Role" crap....However, there is also a lot of stuff that would've been "feminist" by standards of the time.

Women were allowed to have some autonomy, own property & businesses, have some leadership positions, get a divorce. Many of the earliest leaders in Islam were in fact women....strong women....women who fought alongside Mohammed in battle and led the people.

Mohammed's pro-woman reforms may be a case of "fair for it's day" but he certainly wasn't a guy who related to the ladies like Daesh or the Taliban.

The problem is in the Hadiths, mostly. They often give conflicting versions of Mohammed and his teachings. Hadiths & Sunnahs are simply legends written long after the fact....They weren't contemporary to Mohammed's life.

Time to ban, burn and purge all those evil Hadith's that promote the worst of Demiurgic excesses. Time to reject most of the more warmongery Medinan Quranic verses (which were simply a case of Mohammed having a breakdown).

The Quran is no better or worse than The Bible. If most Christians & Jews can reject, disregard, ignore, reinterpret or accept only as metaphor the stupider bits...so can Muslims!

That said; There needs to be an "Anti-Demiurgic Purge" in all the world's scriptures....any passage promoting bigotry, hate, division, sexism or atrocity should be regarded as "uninspired" and then excised and reviled as from the deepest pit of Inferno!
