I am a proud closed minded Christian. Anyone else??

I dont take being called closed minded as an insult. I know the truth, why open myself to attack?

Satan attacks our minds, where Jesus works on our hearts. I'm keeping my mind SHUT and my heart OPEN!

Jesus said "Open your eyes and your heart....not your mind" I feel He said this so we would find Him, not all the junk of the world. Nor the tricks of Satan. Satan can only get to our minds, not our heart. An open mind may find alot of great information, many theories, many wonderful conversations. An open heart will find Jesus.

Ignorance really is bliss? I dont take being called closed minded as an insult. I know the truth, why open myself to attack? Attacks of logic, reason, intelligence, facts, proof, and the understanding of metaphors. Yeah, pretty scary stuff. The fact that you don't find 'close-minded' to be an insult really says a lot. But that will make you willfully ignorant and will open your heart open to all sorts of problems including, bleeding, drying out and infection. Your bible says that you are wrong. An open mind may find alot of great information, many theories, many wonderful conversations. If you are talking about information that proves christianity is a fraudulent, plagiarized, out-dated, misogynistic, racist, pro-slavery, pro-murder, pro-theft, fear-mongering, war mongering book of contradictions, absurdities and outright lies, then yes, I agree with you on that point. An open heart will find Jesus. No, but a delusional or mentally unstable mind might. In fact, you might even find jesus in a pop-tart, or a tree knot, or a freeway stain. But on the downside, you will also find flesh-ripping demons that are always trying to trick one into going to hell. Sounds like a lot of bullshit without a specific purpose. I’ll pass on that.

Even if he did exist, at least that means I can think for myself, which can only be a good thing.

The heart is merely a blood pump. Nothing more. Even if Jesus did exist and could go in that organ, he can only do less than jack shit to you, in terms of influence upon your self.

And as a result, I'm sure you'll be able to make a big impression in the job market (compared to all those evil, Satan-influenced, open-minded, self-thinking, highly-educated physicians, surgeons, dentists, lawyers, physicists, engineers, teachers & university professors, eh?!). Who knows? Even promotion-wise; you could, after a few years, become assistant chief burger flipper in McDonald's or Burger King.

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt here, and assume you meant for that end quote to go before the ellipsis...how in the hell does "open your eyes and heart" translate to "shut out the world, and cling to my robes?"

As I've said, when reality and facts are anathemic to your faith, you really need to take a long look at your faith.

Tony Stark may be brilliant enough to have built a compact LHC in his office, so as to create a completely new element to replace the Palladium (which was poisoning him) in the Arc Reactor he'd previously put in himself so as to prevent that shrapnel from reaching his heart, but unless you can prove the so-called 'Supernatural' exists - and publish such in Peer Reviewed non-religious publications - then I'm afraid the only 'Junk' here...
