so your an atheist. that doesn't mean that gods not real, it just means that you don't think he is. now if god was a fairytale why do we worship him? we don't have temples to pray to fairy godmothers? do we? well i think that if we don't pray to the fairygod mother then god is not a fairytale.

By that reasoning it means that Odin, Vishnu and all the myriad other gods are also real, which means that your god is not the only god. Kinda screws up your whole thinking doesn't it?
Also atheists don't think that god isn't real. We know that it isn't. There is a big difference.
So you worship a god, doesn't mean that he's real.
Right back at you, elmo. I wonder if you think Krishna and Siva are fairy tales.
"So you're a fundie. That doesn't mean that God is real, it just means you think he is. So, because God is a fairytale, why do you worship him? We may as well build temples to the fairy godmother. After all, if you pray to a fairy tale God, why not the fairy godmother?"
Fixed
They did in the past. And for the record, go to Greece, to see temples of Zeus and Athena and Hefestus. And see how Indians pray to Vishnu, Siva et alii. Again, do you think they exist?
Why? Because you are deluded and weak minded.
If you could think, you wouldn't have said any of what you just said.
Thou shalt not consider whether thine arguments about thine own religion "prove" other religions as well.
Thou shalt not learn the difference between "your" and "you're," for it is an abomination unto the Lord.
now if god was a fairytale why do we worship him?
Elmo, people like you are gullible and have been suckered, usually by your parents, before you have a chance to think for yourselves.
An absurd exposition of fallacious logic (like yours) is the trademark of the brainwashed, btw.

Elmo, we are both atheists. I just dismiss one more god than you do.
ah, david b your logic is as sound as elmos
""so your an atheist. that doesn't mean that gods not real, it just means that you don't think he is..."
ORLY?
" now if god was a fairytale why do we worship him?..."
Because you believe in fairy tales?
"..well i think that if we don't pray to the fairygod mother then god is not a fairytale."
I fail to see any logic in this last one. Perhaps you do, after all, believe in fairies - or even faeries
If it weren't meant to be condescending and asinine, everything but the last comment is sort of worthwhile. As a bonus, asking such questions leads to pretentious science fiction writing!
Unfortunately, God can't really be proven either way, especially because the definition is "omnipotent creator". By its definition it could hide all evidence of its existence, or simply be too fundamental to really understand/work with. Like why inertial mass = gravitational mass. There's probably some reason for the connection, but it seems like it might just be a "quirk" or "convenience" of the universe. I'm certainly not clever enough to figure it out, and it might just be too fundamental to the human experience to actually find a reason for it.
Eris is real - She blesses me with Her Divine Chaos every day.
Some of the pagan gods are real, too. They sent me a cloud in the shape of a pentagram last summer while I was mowing.
To which god or gods are you referring? They're all equally absurd.
Three is a good rating for this. He's not being an asshole & spouting that "UR ALL GOIN 2 HELL!!!11!!11!1!" nonsense, yet he's using some pretty bad logic.
As for my opinion? I just don't give a crap on this one.
Confused?
